Steam Deck + controller is probably a good setup for people who travel a lot. Imagine doing flying laps inside an airplane at cruising altitude.
I guess you guys would be much faster (and have more fun ) if you just invested in something like this cheap free-in-the-air-holding wheel. You could even be a treatening opponent for us "normal" plastic wheel drivers
If people thought having to tilt your head on banked turns in VR was bad, can you imagine what playing on the Steam deck would be like on the Monaco hairpin?!
Checking the Steam video I have to admit that I think this Deck can give users an advantage in shooter games. Because eventhough I have never tried such a game then it sounds reasonable that using both hands to keep the gun(s) steady and at the same time have the aiming point steady in the middle of the screen is much more precise than aiming and shooting with a mouse. Because isnt that how shooting gamers do now. But Im not so sure it will function in a racing game. Hehe but you never know if we "normal" wheel users suddenly get destroyed by users using a Deck ByTheWay: The guy explaining the function sounds more reasonable than at least I thought these guys was
I think that PC2 supported dualshock tilt steering on PS4, so the Madness engine may well have that capability.
I hope the game pad controls will be further improved. A mobile AMS2 that plays well is highly desired.
