Hello. So my Reverb G2 drifts off centre almost continously. I have to hit a VR view centering button basically once a lap. So annoying. It's not always been like that but lately it's getting bad.
Does anyone know if there's a fix?
    Thank you

In Windows settings -> Mixed reality -> Environment.

Press the "Clear environment data" button

Sometimes the headset looses what's supposed to be around you or doesn't see it anymore and this makes the headset clear that info and store what it sees around you again.

I have to do it every so often or the headset will drift a lot in all games because it's WMR itself that's doing it and not the game.

Also make sure there’s enough light in the room.

With the above about light you can turn on the flash light app inside the headset and see what your camera's are seeing. This will tell you if the light is too bright or not bright enough. If things are washed out then it's too bright.

Thank you. I'll clear the environment data. It's definitely not too dark but it might be too bright. Flashlight is a clever idea. I'll give that a go. Thank you very much!

Any sort of reflections can affect tracking as well, nearby mirrors, monitor screen etc.

Put some objects with visible shapes in front of you. A white wall is hardly trackable.

I ask the wife to stand motionless for 3 hours whilst I throw the SuperV8 over The Mountain, handy 'cos she gives me drinks as well

So a quick update. My office / race rooms is lit by several LED downlights. It's very bright in there. I like that. Anyway, I turned them off and made a very high tech light using some sophisticated tooling and equipment :D. With this light only there is no view drift at all. Perfectly consistent. Thank you all for your help.[IMG]
