Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

So I’ve been told this has been an issue for a while with this Eng and there’s nothing that can be done!? Might as well race against a Mario Kart also and bring the circus in

Report: Before this version audio worked fine just by selecting my VR headset from AMS2 audio settings. Now I only hear menu sounds (no engine or track environment sounds) unless I select my headset as a system default audio device before starting AMS2.
Steps to reproduce: Use different audio device than system default

Applicable Settings: None
Report: McLarens always start from the back of the Grid when loading into a session without qualifying (even if you set their qualy skill to 1.0 in custom AI file). Even if you set player custom starting position to a specific spot in one of the cars above, you'll start in last position on the grid.
Steps to reproduce: Select any of the cars above for a single race without qualifying, select a specific grid position for the player that isn't last. Player and AI driver of the cars above will start last.

Report: No engine sound & wheel centering

Report: The low df variants are using the normal variants skins.
Steps to reproduce: Select the cars in any track that uses the low df variants.

Car Used: Nissan R89C (Low Downforce)

Report: The low df variant is still broken after the recent bugfix, my wheel shakes non stop and it also has no engine sounds. Using a G29.
Steps to reproduce: Select the car in Monza and Hockenheim, or any high speed track probably.

 

I'm not aware of a workaround for the ghost drivers. I tried adding custom outfit and helmet textures for one driver to see if those show up, but I don't think so.

 

Confirmed: no engine sound on Nissan R89C LD
Also: LD version cars is loaded on both Daytona Road courses.

 

I had similar issue with the sound when had I my VR HMD selected from the game. In my case I had menu sounds but no engine/environment sounds. Workaround: select the desired audio device as system default or configure AMS2 from Windows to use that device by default.

 

I think its a car specific problem, everything else I tried today had sounds normally, its just the RC89 low downforce.

 

The game thinks Imola 2001 has 'Snow' as Track Wetness, whatever date is selected, and wants to load wet tyres.

I don't *think* it affects the driving on slicks (tires warmed up after 3 laps on the new Nissan GT1, not sure if that's normal or not)

Applicable Settings: I play in VR if that matters. Quest 2 headset.
Report: The dash of the car flickers a lot, especially it seemed to happen at "kesselchen" (not 100% sure of the names). It is pretty distracting in VR, especially at night.

Good spot. not sure what that's about, just the real weather updates ui glitch or something more. Probably the former.

This is a global issue I think, any car with Abs/Tc gets its electronic aids turned off when restarting a TT session.
Have to exit out to menu and back in just to have another run .

 

This bug: same track and car I reported just after launch of car. weird that some bugs have returned. including Black smoke shadows on tracks. Not seen for a while or seen reports till this build (though not impossible some made, just not seen here.

Applicable Settings: Race session with Track Limit Penalties On
Report: Following the Driving Line and/or AI through Turn 1 is detected as cutting the track, even when avoiding the inside curb entirely. Seems to only be an issue in a Race session, as no Track Limit penalties given for taking the same line during Qualifying.
Steps to reproduce: Set Driving Line to Always and enable AI opponents on Long Beach in a Race session. Then follow either of those closely through Turn 1.
Thoughts: Objectively-speaking it's an issue of consistency, between player/AI and qualifying/race. Subjectively I find it unreasonable to penalize drivers for generally taking that line through Turn 1, ruining an otherwise impressive track for me.

 

Was this at imola 2001 layout?
I had the same myself if so.

Edit, just seen your track. Yes I had the same issue myself today. Surface defaults to "snow".

Current build:

All liveries for the Brabham BT62 hypercar are prefixed with a hashtag (e.g., #Brabham BT62 #01). Is this a typo, or is Geoff Brabham the new CEO of Twitter?
