Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

Any reports of Custom champions setup screen crashing to desktop?
Did it four times tonight while trying to setup a GT3 series on USA tracks . Have sent bugsplat report but would be nice to know if anyone else has had similar problem. Thanks.

Applicable Settings: single race
Report: AI cars are only Maclaren, Porsche and Chevy. All other brands and models are not represented on track. A bit weird being the only Merc on track…

 

Is that even realistic?

 

Had it happen yesterday when creating a new championship. Removed all the tracks, went into setting up the sessions and it crashed to desktop.
Happened only once though

 

Wheelbase: CSL DD
Wheel: Fanatec Mclaren GT3 V2
Issue: Onboard TC not functioning

Another bug that seems to appear now & then. Tried GT3/4/GTE, & onboard TC over the rotary encoders wouldn’t function, although onboard ABS did. Change the button settings, fiddled around & still wouldn’t work. I thought the wheel maybe at fault, but fired up RRE & RF2 & the onboard TC worked fine over the rotary encoders.

 

Kind of sorted it in the end , deleted the championship file in documents and it worked fine after that .

Report: I've been pushed off the track by ai and recieved a warning for leaving the track.
So far it was a entertaining race with paint trading and door knocking. At Stavelot i got pushed from behind from the track crashed in the guardrails. The icing on the cake was a warning for leaving the track. Penalties should only be applied if justified, though it might be difficult.
Steps to reproduce: N/A

 

In Daytona time trails , racers are using pits for faster times, nice trick, but this is not real racing.
Cones are marked with pit speed. Track management would ask you to leave the track if we pulled this in real racing at any track. Other VR games have had the problem and fixed it The race starts at the start finish line, not in the pits. I see more racers doing it in more classes. I thing it makes the game and Daytona look less real. Up for discussion.

Report: The clutch is indestructible,
and this allows you to use the gear box as a kind of anchor corner after corner, if you downshift back at the right time, everything blocks and you get a lot of extra turn-in, However you do not blow up the engine and the gearbox remains whole, you can gain quite a bit of time with this once you get used to it

Report: Adjusting the left mirror changes the view for the right mirror as well. Nothing seems to happen when adjusting the right mirror.

Report: The BT52 as driven by the AI are indestructible even if damage is not set off. They will crash into walls at 200 kph and just keep going. The other AI take damage as normal to the setting selected.

Report: The player does not get a cut in a corkscrew, even cutting through the sand.
Steps to reproduce: Strongly cut the corkscrew as in the picture or more. I used Cats 620 and Camaro SS to check it out.

Car Used: Group C
Applicable Settings: AI speed 120%, Agress. MAX, Fuel_management and Tyre_Management = 0.99 for all drivers. Wheater fixed, Medium Cloud. Fuel and tyre consumption accelerated. 74 laps race.
Report: AI strategy/pits are still a mess. Saubers can do 10-11 laps, but the AI pits every 7 laps. The Saubers do fuel and tyres at the same time, but the Corvettes don't. Pretty useless class for racing AI despite being great cars.
Steps to reproduce: Just race for about 10 laps and all this can be seem

Report: Time Trails, Shows the ghost, but no setup from top racers, Gen 2 Model 3 is their listing.

Report: When using cockpit camera the livery defaults to red but it works fine from outside the car.

Report: Random stutters only in Group C cars. No other class I've tested (almost every one at this point) does this. Happens in all weather, all times of day, time progression on and off, on every track, but again, only in this one car class. Monitored PC through over a dozen races, in Group C cars and other classes, and there are no differences in my PC's performance. No CPU or GPU throttling, no temperature issues or anything else. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, moved AMS to a different SSD, no improvements.
