Damage remains after restart (missing wheels).

Crashed into a wall and lost front wheels.
Decided to restart race.
Front wheels were still missing.
Car behaved if they were on the car.
Restart race isn't resetting visual damage.

 

Repair in Box is also not resetting damage visually, at least not for other players on the same server. Result ist, we are all racing wrecks in endurance races, takes away a lot of immersion.

 

Im not defending anything here - but these unrepaired things have been slightly less often.
I can only talk about TT mode where I have posted tons of laughable pictures of cars driving perfect with as example only 1 wheel intact.
But at least in TT mode its today pretty seldom that the wheels are not "repaired" when you have restarted the session.

ByTheWay: I fully agree that this is something that is catastrophic for the immersion.

 

If I may repeat myself then at least in TT mode then this "Crew unwilling to repair" issue is more or less completely gone.

ByTheWay: Maybe the team boss has been talking with very huge font sizes to the crew - lately

 

I don't see any issues, looks fine to me.

I would guess that the restart visual damage display bug and the multiplayer, other clients box repair bug regarding visual damage not reseting for other players, is related. This bug is so old and deeply build into code that is for sure still a PCARS file.

 

Its been fixed! (hope you don't mind @BrunoB, I used your picture for the Thumbnail as I simply can't recreate the bug now to get a screen shot).
