Thanks for the settings. I am new with DD and sometimes it is a bit overwhelming with so many sliders.
One question. Since I got my C5 pressumed that game friction and game spring were better to be kept on 100% since those effects, I guess, are comming from the game. I guess I am wrong?

The problem is I don't get any feedback from the rear axle or car rotation but the visual one. Too late for me o_O.
Also, I don't have other effects to compensate for been in a static chair at home and not in a real car with all kind of forces/sensations.

On the other end, the front axle is well represented, it comes from tie rods forces themselves (that's why my file uses this to capture the front axle component).
If you like it and you are fast with with, that's what matters the most ;). Thanks for sharing.

I think with @Joaquim Pereira FFB file the strength comes from the game, and there is no need to set it to 100% in the application, but I could be misunderstanding how it works.

The best way is to test it, I liked it better when I left it at 0% in the CAMMUS.

Yeah This is the best custom file ive ever tested. Its not too far of default but you feel the suspension a lot more and clearly

Funny for you to say that, as I felt the default+ now feels closer to what you custom is.

Bit of an update to my file as I found a bit of clipping so adjusted it accordingly.
An upside to this is it feels better.
    Gain 50
    FX 25
    Damping 25

On my TS-PC, it didn't matter - Thrustmaster drivers must use those slider for legacy game, the time the game asked the wheel to do a static force of x or vibrate at y frequency for z period of time.
Will Cammus be the same? I don't know but testing is a good advise.

Well, I must say I had the same first impression ;)

This explains everything what people have issues with regarding AMS 2 "physics"

Hi all, I like Default+ FFB
only problem is that I do not "feel" the curbs effect, as if they are not there.
Which parameter should I change in the FFB to hear them more ?
    I use CSW 2.5

Is this V2 or how should I call this file when I add it?

Hi, if turning fx up doesn't help, try turning fei (force effect intensity) up on your base.

After trying this file in several cars, I agree that it is the most natural and informative FFB that I have experienced in AMS2.

I come from a mostly Rfactor and Rfactor2 background and with this file everything thing makes sense.

I did add a small amount of smoothing (0.2) just to get rid of the grainy feel that I was getting in my wheel with some cars.

I recommend that everyone at least tries this and gives it a good amount of time, once used every other FFB just feels unnatural and cloudy. This would be especially usefull for anyone new to sim racing. It allows you to feel exactly what the car is doing.

    Hello

I am at work so will let you know tonight

I always use some damping in Game but I will share precise numbers

After sorting the gain out. (50% feels absolutely fine on every car i've tried) I'm actually fairly sure this is how rF2's FFB is calculated. You have the weird grain without smoothing and the kerbs will happily tear your arms off.

So yeah, it's still the default custom ffb, all i've done is fixed the needless smoothing and mass damping that come with it.

Is there a way of tagging a developer because if anything this is a bugfix?

Yeah its so natural, I tried several custom ffbs here and I just scratch my head on what the hell is going on, I really think less is more when talking ffb.

Exactly where did you add that smoothing? And do you think its enough? I also feel some graining on long corners.

I can't remember the exact line it's the first one. I will post the exact line later when I get the chance.

I think that its not a bug but intentional. I think the smoothing and dampening is there to replicate more closely what is felt in a real cars steering. Without it we are feeling an amplified effect. I think it works well for sim racing because we are lacking the feel of other forces from other parts of the car.

Using the rack forces is what Rfactor2 does but other effects are added such as braking. AMS2 default and default + also use it but with other effects added and with smoothing and dampening added.

I would like to be able to try default and default + with the smoothing and dampening removed in the same way that you removed it from the default custom file.
