I wonder what you all play when you’re not racing cars. I’ve recently started playing War Thunder again after a Mika Häkkinen hiatus. The question is, what do you play?
Until recently it was either art of rally (yes, I know it's a racing game, but it's casual and relaxing) or bashing my head against the wall trying to complete I/I on XCOM:EW.
Current games I'm digging ° Zelda Tears of Kingdom (my first Zelda title and it's great) ° Cobalt Core (roguelike Deckbuilding with pixel art style, very addictive) Apart from that, I generally like single player shooters like Bioshock or Dishonored.
Elite: Dangerous, and I'm trying to teach myself flying with FA-off and twin sticks. Runner-up: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
Ahh Elite Dangerous my old love. Pains me so much to see a game with such monumental potential be squandered. Physically hurts me to imagine what could've been had it been properly managed and grown...
Euro Truck Simulator 2. Absolutely love it to put some radio talk show and just chill delivering virtual goods.
Shooting at everything moves... Battlefield (no matter the number) Call of Duty Warzone Squad Hell let loose Etc etc But also in love with old school games like Titan Quest Silent Hunter 2 and 3 Castlevania symphony of the night (emulator) Or some RPG games... Main problem is I have like 2 Steam accounts, 1 Epic, 1 Ubisoft... Easily passed the 200 games list... I have a lot to play with but not enough time like in the past when I was actively managing a gaming clan... (Different story with AMSU which is only simracing related and AMS centric)
Image says enough I think. I would add Chrono Trigger, FF 7-9-10, Max Payne 1 & 2, Mafia 1, C&C Generals, CS 1.6, CSS, WoW till WoTLK, Guild Wars, Aladdin, Lion King, Black & White and many more. F*ck, I am old .... But it looks like it Football Manger franchise or WoW & CS 1.6/CZ/CSS I played the most However currently I am trying to 100% Horizon Zero Dawn. ps. You've to add 500 hours AMS2 Beta onto the 1800 hours of Main
Elite Dangerous: Just for relaxing, exploring space far beyond the centre of the galaxy for month. One of the prettiest VR experiences ever seen. XPlane11: Mostly flying my old Stinson around the whole world. Alaskan Road Truckers: ATM my 3rd most played game (besides AMS2 o.c.). Still a couple of bugs, but a great experience to drive throug Alaska and try to survive. No native VR support but it's compatible to UEVR so you can play it in VR too!
Elite Dangerous, played it a lot in VR. Awesome experience. Especially the size of the docking stations. Wow those are enormous in VR. You miss all that in pancake mode. But after a couple of years you’ve seen it all. Currently I play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. On de the PS5. Just relaxing, sitting on my back on the couch. Coffee etc. I love RPG and survival games. Besides Racing of course.
If you like complex, physical based flight only with thrusters (6DOF) i advice the game lunar flight. That's an advanced version of the classic moon lander games.
I used to play Hearthstone a lot, from the release 10 years ago. I quit last year when they retired the classic format.
MSFS for all its greatness, far from perfect but on the majority it's a fantastic flight simulator. Cue Ball 2, because I love me a game of snooker! Starfield, binge played it on release then burnt out, but keeping up with patch notes and looking forward to diving back in when the game has matured some more. Baldurs Gate 3, technically waiting until tomorrow's Steam sale to buy it so not actually playing it yet...
I'll never get tired of Cyberpunk 2077. I'm currently at the end of my 7th playthrough and already planning my next build for #8 that I'll start immediately after the credits rolled for my current one.
One of the best games of this era. After a bit of slow start, this game is has been a massive success for CDPR.
