Can some one confirm how mandatory pit stops are supposed to work. I believe that if I pit in the pit window and comply to the minimum requirements of the pit stop, for example a tire change, I can also have repairs done and/or take on fuel and that will mean my pit stop is done. Or can I only do the requirements of the pit stop and I must have repairs done in a separate pit stop. Or do I have to wait to be called in. This usually happens at the end of the race. I have noticed when using mandatory pit stops, if I pit, then I still get called in again at the end of the race, and if I don't go in I am DQ. I have also noticed many AI being DQ also in these races. Are mandatory pit stops broken or am I doing something wrong??
As long as you do the minimum required for a mandatory stop, everything should be fine. You can do as much extra as you want / need. One thing we have noticed is that if the minimum tires is set to 4 there is an issue where the game does not recognize a valid stop, so we always set this to a maximum of 3.
Yeah, run at the same problem today, twice. Once it was set to 2 tires, but I ended changing all 4s because there is not such option in the in-game menu (select which/how many tires). Got disqualifieded instantly in the last lap as I decided to ignore the sign; On the last race of the day, no tires needed, just the mandatory stop. I pitted, refueled and went away. Got called by box for the mandatory pit. Went, did nothing (it may have refueled something that I did not choose), got DQ instantly again while crossing the line in the pits. HUGE bumer.
Same to me today, did my pit stop half the way of a 20 laps race (the pit sign comes on, too), in the last lap the pit sign appeared again (i dont went for the pit stop, again) and i got DQ`d for not do the Mandatory pit stop.
Just out of curiosity, did you manually request your pit stop via mapped button or ICM, or did you pit when you got the automated “Sheduled” alert? All the best Andy
If you get the opportunity and have the patience to do so, it would be interesting to hear if you get the same result after manually requesting the stop either via a mapped button or the ICM before the automated Scheduled stop alert is triggered. My suspicion is that a manually requested stop that also meets the mandatory criteria will pass the validation, but the scheduled stop will/may not. All the best Andy
Yes, it seems, youre right. Pit Crew was working as expected, after manual Pit request. Thanks for the Tipp!
Thank you for testing that. I have logged this in the bug report thread now: Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post) Should anyone else be in a position to test this, it would be great if you could leave your feedback here, be it positive or negative. Your test results may help Reiza to get a quicker resolution in place for all. All the best Andy
Hi, I've been disqualified today after requestin via ICM a manual pitstop. Running the first race of the stock car 2019 championship preset. There's a mandatory pit stop with 0 tires required, I pitted and did some small repairs and at the end of the race was disqualified, I did NOT change any tire. Hope this helps
