Hi Guys I'm new in the forum but I've been playing AMS2 for awhile now. I think in general the car setup descriptions could be better and/or show the effects on the car somehow so its less guesswork. But anyway what is really bothering me now and Ive tried searching for more info but couldn't find any is about the setting for active suspension. What does 1 and what does 10 mean? Ive tried both and I honestly cant feel much difference, ive looked at the setup of the lap record holders and the ones ive seen theyre using 8 on both settings. Is 8 more dumping or less dumping? Faster or slower? There's absolutely no indication. Thanks guys
I have no idea what you mean, but you want the car to be kept at a constant ride height so the fastest reaction time should be best
I absolutely agree with you, from the very release I've never understood what the settings did, considering they didn't have any description, and even today there is no help whatsoever. What I find completely incomprehensible is how an active system is supposed to have "damping" and why would anyone set active suspension to react slower. Ideally you'd want suspension to react as quickly as the tecnology allows (and also the game physics in our "sim" case). We already discussed this in another post but there was no clarification on this matter.
