AUS NZ Combined Racing League 2020 Brazilian StockCar Series

AUS/NZ Combined Racing League continue their journey with the Brazilian Stock Cars after last year's terrific season in the 2019 cars, we now move onto the 2020 season cars.
Last year GUN180 took the championship by only 2 points from Timmmmy82 after an amazing final run in the championship battle between Timmmmy82 and GUN180.
These cars are powered by a 6.8L V8 engine powering the rear wheels with 473 horsepower. Using a 6 speed sequential gearbox and a push to pass boost button, this series is going to be fast with plenty of action.

Round 1 was exciting and there was a good turnout for the enduro race.
With an early safety car, a few drivers decided to take the mandatory stop for 2 tires and fill the tanks up, but this left these drivers needing to conserve fuel to make the end of the race.
One of those drivers was GUN180 who needed to pit on the 2nd last lap losing the lead and finishing in 6th place.
Onto round two with a different format at Londrina for the Super Sprint.
Opening feature race of 35 minutes with mandatory stop for 2 tires, then the sprint race over 20 minutes.

Round 2 the drivers moved to the 1st of 2 Super Sprint rounds during the series.
The opening feature race was very fast with Detective#209 taking his 1st victory with ANZCRL by only 3 second margin to Magic_Mass who later received a 5 second penalty added to his race time for being out of position at the start.
Race 2 was the shorter 20 minute race and it was Magic_Mass turning the tables on Detective to take the win.
NightHavoc in 3rd has finished the opening 3 races in that final podium spot.

 

Championship standings going into the 3rd round has a change to the lead with Magic swapping positions with Kuku who had a hard round at Londrina.

 

Round 3 had a packed grid of 16 cars around the always great racing track Cascavel.
The sprint round had 2 x 30 minute races without any mandatory stop, so the drivers just needed to have enough fuel for 28 laps and protect that front right tyre.
GUN180 took a clean sweep but was never easy with both Daddoracer and Kuku chasing him right to the end respective races.
Wildcard entry for the round was Longy and he made his presence known finishing in the top 5 both races.

 

ANZCRL have reached the halfway point at this stage with Kuku taking the lead from Magic_Mass who's DNF really hurt his championship.

 

Last weekend was round 4 of the 2020 Brazilian Stock Car Series and it was the return of Detective#209 claiming the round win with an impressive opening feature race victory for the final Super Sprint round of the series and then backing that up with a 3rd place podium for the shorter sprint race to end round 4 at Velo Citta.
Equal 2nd was Kuku and GUN180 on 46 points.
Two more rounds remaining and it's not too late to join in.

Kuku extends his lead and GUN180 joins NightHavoc in 2nd place with the penultimate round this Sunday night (Australia) at Curitiba which is the final Sprint round being 2 x 30 minute races with no mandatory stop.
Then there is a week break off as ANZCRL are hosting their Imola 4 Hour race next weekend before the final round at Interlagos for the 1 hour Enduro race double point round.
