Not sure whether this is a bug or something my end but I recently noticed the ABS active light flashing on my dash (Dashpanel)
At first, I thought it was an issue with the dash app but then upon further investigation, what I thought was tire scrub while cornering is actually the ABS activating. This happens without any brake being applied, predominantly while cornering but also occasionally on straights or bumps.
First noticed in Camaro GT4 (really bad) but seems to be evident in some other cars I have tried as well, anyone noticed anything similar? o_O

Maybe you’re applying brake without knowing it

Please try applying a little deadzone to your brake pedal and check if it still happens.

(Also unlikely but worth giving it a try to unmap "extra brake" assignment for a test [backspace unmaps key assignments])

No, checked that with inputs displayed, no movement at all.

Checked that, already have deadzone set to 5, unmapped "extra brake" no change. Sometimes it happens when accelerating in 2nd gear out of a corner, which is weird! I was trying to work out how to video it but don't have ABS active on the screen, only my dashboard. :(

I have disabled the ABS force in FFB so now it's just the light flickering :(

Well after 115GB download and a fresh install...no different! :(
Seems to be related to grip, I can activate the ABS just by sliding through the turn and under power (no brake involved) the ABS lights up like a rev limiter!

Have you checked your pedal inputs to see if it does anything? As in does the throttle or brake go up or down?

Yep, first thing I checked, no spikes or anything. Where is the controller ini file kept, how do I delete that?

IIRC you need to go into the documents folder for AMS2

Then I don’t know. I know in a file somewhere around there you can find the controller presets stuff

    C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Automobilista 2\savegame\[large number]\automobilista 2\profiles

    "default.controllersettings.v1.03.sav"

    is the controls settings file.

Do you see the ABS symbol in the ingame HUD tachometer widget turning yellow/orange?

I'd recommend to try a larger deadzone test just for isolation of the issue. Try something like 50 on the brake, maybe even set a deadzone in your driver/pedal software and see if it still occurs then.

ABS can't trigger without a brake input, it wouldn't make sense, it's not "cutting throttle". It's not possible because of the nature in what this driving aid does, it's not able to do anything without the brake because there is no brake input to cut in the first place.

When you go on throttle the assistant that triggers is the traction control.

Well, it's definitely ABS activating under hard throttle with no brake input (inputs displayed), I isolated it by using the FFB file, as well as the hud and dashboard lights indicating the same. I have deleted the controller preset and tomorrow will rebind everything and try that.

    Please try this.

It can happen that it doesn't display any input when it's just a flicker. Setting extraordinary high deadzone can isolate it to help identify the cause.

Again: ABS can't actuate on throttle, it needs a brake input because it doesn't interact with throttle at all.

I remember with Fanatec V3's I had brake input when I pressed the throttle. It had a bit of flex or so. No idea how. If could be that, but like Crimson says please test with lots of deadzone.

I understand that, I think it was more to do with grip levels under acceleration.
Anyway after deleting the controller profile and creating a new one, after a relative short test session, it appears that the issue has been resolved, fingers crossed. If it reoccurs, I will try and come up with a way to video it ;)
    Thanks for your input :)

The issue is reproducible at turn 14 at Barcelona NC, ABS activates for about a second every single time. I tested on the Beta.
