This was crazy difficult to solve and eventually some info led me to a Pcars2 thread that solved it, as this bug has plagued this engine since then, storing here to make it easier for the next folks that might get struck by it.

    PROBLEM:
    1. All your FOV Sliders are suddenly set between min 88 and max 120,
    2. FOV in inverted, higher == narrower
    3. Triple screen broken, works in track videos and replays of track but not ingame,
    4. You are no longer able to input into triple screen setup, (you type in but all you see is zeros).
5 .Making changes in triplescreensettings.xml no longer has any effect.

(I have an unlisted video but it shows a beta UX so will share after 1.6 releases)

    SOLUTION:
    1. Set your game to borderless fullscreen and exit.
    2. Disable Nvidia Surround or Eyefinity as suits
    3. Start game up and now configure Triples and FOV (controls will now work)
    4. Exit Game, re-enable Nvidia surround or Eyefinity as suits
    5. Restart game and set to fullscreen again, triples and FOV will work normally again.
    6. DO NOT TOUCH FOV OR TRIPLES SETTINGS IN GAME AGAIN.. EVER
    7. If you didnt read point 6.. start again at point 1

I never had a problem changing the fov slider ingame. I don't use nvidia surround or amd eyefinity enabled with ams2 and I always configure my triple settings from triplescreensettings.xml

    Thanks btw.

the slider only breaks AFTER the triples break, you will know its affecting you if your fov slider wont go under 88. And you are welcome (actually thask to the bloke on the PCars2 forum who figured out the fix, i just reposted it)

So you don't use Nvidia surround at all? just by setting the correct values in the triplescreensettings.xml file, it works flawlessly? I don't like Nvidia surround. Always a hassle to make it work correct.

I just completed a new pc build and have been struggling to keep Nvidia Surround working. At one point, I was re-installing graphics drivers at every system start / restart (just to avoid being stuck in minimum resolution mode). Not having to use Surround again would be great!

you can use bordeless without surround but at a MASSIVE perfomance penalty..

Ah, okay. I sold my 4080 Super and have now joined the dark side—AMD. May the force be with me!

Finally got my Graphic driver issues stabilized. I had to change one monitor to DP (triples) from HDMI (needed to accommodate VR HMD on DP) so, no VR for now.

I tried the above "Fix" to restore triple support in AMS2 but, it didn't change anything. At least I can use DisplayMagician to switch modes without issues now.

I was able to run AMS2 in non-surround mode using triples for quite some time on my last PC, not sure what changed that.

same on both, the issue is that borderless relies on slower windows desktop dxgi etc. unless a game is built fromthe ground
on my card i have 3 DP and 2 hdmi might be the difference i guess?
All my monitors are on DP and my VR (when i use it) on the spare hdmi

Pimax Crystal Light requires DP but, I have an adapter on order (UHBR) that might allow it to use HDMI connection, we'll see.

Currently I have just set the triple screen information in the triple screen xml file. No NVIDIA surround used. Works perfectly.

returned the AMD 7900xtx and bought a Asus 4080 super OC with 3 displayports. I could not find the right solution to connect the AMD to the PSU. So returned the AMD and installed the NVIDIA 4080 super. (Without surround)

The strange part here is, it works flawlessly on AMS2 . No surround used. But in the Beta it does not work. The half of the side screens are more or less ok, but the most outer half of the side screens are enormous stretched. Why does it works in the non beta and a mesh in the beta?

Nvidia Surround still giving me issues even after using CRU to setup custom resolutions.

However, I managed to get triples working again without Surround (in current Beta). I still can't use the UI to set triples but, direct edit to graphicsconfig (Combined Resolution width) and manual edit of triples config file worked. I can alter the FOV in-game with a rotary encoder.

Yeah in the non beta I’ve used the triple screen config file to set the triple info. Also in the beta, but in the beta it is all f**ked up some how.. :( I really don’t wanna use NVIDIA surround.

What steps did you take to get it working again in the beta? I’ve tried many options, but I still can’t fix it.

I made sure AMS2 Graphics mode was set to Borderless.
Close and set combined (Monitor resolution width x3) resolution in graphicsconfig.xml.
Edit triplescreensettings.xml with monitor details and distance specs.
Run AMS2 and set graphics resolution to combined triples, scroll all the way to left if needed.

Ah, I think I missed the graphicsconfig.xml file. I’ll edit that one as well. I only edited the triplescreensettings.xml file, where I set the resolution to 20560x1440, etc. I’ll update the graphicsconfig.xml to 7680 as well.:D

Thanks! I’ll report back once I’ve adjusted the settings and tested them.

Have you tried to copy the config files from non-beta to beta in case there is something else that you missed?
(Do a backup of the beta config files first, of course)

Well Just was on the way to report back that I found the solution. I just did copy the files to the Beta version. And what the h*ll. It works back again. Not in borderless window but just in full screen. Like it works in the non Beta. Problem solved so it looks like.
    Thanks for the support. :D
