You've never crashed me anywhere. I think something is being lost in translation somewhere. I'd check your controller settings, maybe reset the game to default settings by deleting the Automobilista 2 folder in 'Documents'.

I restored the tire ressistance settings to the original, and change this two line that you mentioned, its simmilar feeling,i think a little bit light compared to my wheel res. settings but its works well, this custom file still fits better for me than others :)

Edit: i still need to lower the Kerb effect from 5.60 to 4.60 cuz its rip my arm off, dont like it much...but its my personal taste :)

A Moza R5 is difficult to judge. It is a dd base but with relatively little force at 5Nm. It might even work better with the belt file. I would test both files to see which works better. I would take the base settings from an R9 and the in-game settings with approximately these settings:

    Gain: 64-75
    LFB: 0
    FX: 16-24
    Damping: 0

Hi @Danielkart. Thanks so much for your continued work, you’re a credit to this community. I’ve been using Default+ since 1.6 dropped, pretty happily, but decided I’d check your latest file out. Running a CSW 2.5 and it’s very good - found I had to drop the suggested gain and fx values slightly for my taste, but fantastic. The only thing I’d like to adjust if possible is the weight of the wheel during low speed corners - I find I’m having to use more power than seems quite right. Feel like I could use some power steering haha. Could you point me to somewhere in the file that I could have a tinker with in this regard?
    Thanks again.

Just came here to ask the same! I have dropped the gain but it's still too heavy, I'd like to drop the resistance a little bit. Other than that great ffb!

Yes, there is actually something like that in the file.Look for this line at the beginning of the file:

    (power_steering_angle 0.00)

Increase the value to 0.2 or 0.3 so that the force you have to use to turn the wheel is reduced. The higher the value, the easier it will be.However, I recommend only increasing it a little here because otherwise other undesirable effects can occur. Find your sweet spot for your base

Hi I have tested the new settings and they are great I have a question in regards to wheel speed i use a R12 in your settings you recommend 180 to 200 but for small light wheels 100 to 120 can you suggest what should be used for GT3 LMDH which is what I generally do and I use the FSR wheel and the GSV2.

I run a Moza R21 but with wheels from other manufacturers. Now it's the case that you can't change the inertia (Natural Inertia) with "Not Moza Wheels". Since I have larger and heavier wheels, I can bring more liveliness to the wheel with "Maximum Wheel Speed". This setting actually causes attenuation the deeper you go. So for light, small wheels it is better to reduce this value to get less vibration and simulate a heavier wheel. In the file I described it like this:

Maximum Wheel Speed: 180%-200% (For small, light wheels set the value to 100-120%)

It is therefore a compensation for "Natural Inertia" because I don't use an original Moza Wheel

Thank you for your help here is what made sense to me please tell me if I am wrong with this line of thinking but fir formula and gt style racing wheels use your recommendation of 120 on more heavy wheels like round style increase it to 180 - 200 please let me know if I'm wrong with this.

Daniel, thank you very much. I drove 1.6 with Extreme 2 all day yesterday, today I drove all day with Extreme 3 and this is even better & feels much more realistic and natural than the original FFB settings. Also it is not oscillating at all, a big advantage for me and my Moza R9 base.
    Great work & spot on!

THX and the modification in the 2 resistence based on the velocity improves exactly the feature you are looking for ;)
    (velocity_res_scale 0.300)
    (velocity_res_offset 0.700)

Perfect, and yes kerb is an absolutely personal choice, for example I was trying now a level around 4.80 ... very near ;)

This was a very good tip from you!I:) tested it and a beginner dd base works better with the belt base, that is, with the 2nd file.Although they are dd bases, the low power is more important here.I will include the following bases in the belt file:

    Fanatec csl dd 5 Nm
    Moza R5 dd base 5Nm
    Cammus C5 dd Base 5Nm

I will change it shortly and expand the belt file with the weak dd bases and write an addendum
