I be doing an hour long race with 47 A.I @ Interlagos or Suzuka everything running fine at 60fps (non VR) then all of a sudden about roughly 35 mins in and the fps drops to 43-45 and just stays there for the reminder of the race. On Suzuka it drops to 25 fps, Sometimes it with return to 60fps with about 5 mins to go. pc specs Windows 11 Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900 2.60 GHz Asus ROG Maximus XII Hero 32 GB DDR 4 @ 3600 mhz 10 GB Zotac RTX 3080 1 TB SSD
I have heard people say to try and Alt-Tab out and into the game again. There is also talk about a memory leak since 1.6
Never had it in1.5 so i don`t know if its a memory leak problem or simply running more A.I. When i first load to the track for Quali its 60fps but its not smooth i have to Alt-Tab out and then it ok, until a few laps into the race then i get the massive frames drop.
Well, they did say that they upped the system requirements for full grids - If you run same size grids as in 1.5 you should get the same result But your system should not feel anything running 47 AI - Its most likely s memory leak. But also see it running in VR with my system, but mostly on the new tracks
I experience the same issue since update 1.6 in VR. I haven't tried the Alt-Tab solution but if I stop the race and restart the session, performance is back to normal which seems to indicate that it's a new bug in the game.
Game slowdowns at Spa. FPS shows OK but laptimes 15 sec. slower for AI and game in slow motion. Dropped AI from max to 30, same thing. Old PC, CPU through the roof. Did not do this before. Restart will fix sometimes. Edit: thought it may have been multiplayer (euro Endurance 2019). Went to LMP2 only, 31 cars, 90 % AI. Would have expected laptimes of 2:10 or so...got 2:23 and slower. CPU at about 70%, GTX 1650 not working hard, RAM (16GB) at 90%!!!! 70% when back to menu. Looks like mem leak?
