I really like that you added flat spotting back in, sorely missed that even in rack force!

Overall I have to say 1.5 is a step back for me, as it weakens the forces far too much, which makes feeling the car difficult again. I'm certain, however, that this a T300 vs DD issue though, as I can't feel the nuances like I might with a DD, and also have to keep overall forces lower to avoid clipping and overheating the base. I did try bumping up the ffb gain with 1.5, which made the forces stronger, but I feel like maybe the dynamic range was lower/more flat that way. For now I've gone back to 1.4 numbers, with the extra parameters copy pasted from 1.5 (minus brake oscillations)

Doing this testing today really made me appreciate even more what you've been able to achieve here; you can really feel tyres loading up (and flexing), and the weight shifting around, making the world of a difference to the feeling of AMS 2. It really highlights the hystresis tyre work Reiza did for 1.6, in a way that not even default ffb does for me

thanks fro this detailed feedback, be sure i'll take inot consideration your thoughts.
overall what has been done with the 1.5 release is actually boost effects specially those that make you grasp the car behaviour. it's interesting that you are experience quiet the opposite. might a a dynamic range issue where t300 struggles and dd don't. i need to investigate further. happy you were able to remix something that suits your tastes.

@Gasngrip. II tried almost every custom ffb but I didn't like any of them. Too much vibrations, too much noise too many effects that overlap each other, so i prefer default or default+. Sometimes less is more.
Until now, your custom file is the most refined ffb without aggressive effects that mask small details which really matters. The only problem for me is when you stop the car while stationary steering wheel it feels very very heavy until just start to move. I wish to feel natural friction of front tyres when the car is stopped and I move the steering wheel left and right, stationary forces I mean. SC2 pro here btw.

@Massier Just add code from default file. Place it after (rack (/ arm_force M_max_force_at_rack))
    Code:
    (parkingForce (* parkingForceMult rack (crossover et 0 5) (- 1 (crossover vel_mag 0 7))))
    (smth_time (* 0.05 (bi_smooth (crossover (abs axis_vel_int) 0.005 0.1) 0.1 0.001)))
    (rack (+ (* rack (crossover vel_mag 0 5)) (* (smooth parkingForce smth_time) damping_slider)))

Now you can use damping slider to control stationary steering wheel weight

Many thanks Tom!. So now damping slider don"t add damping is just for stationary if i understand correctly. I uploaded my modified file so you can check it.
By far the best custom FFB that I felt in ams2. Clean, crisp and precise. Congratulation for your work.

So what do you use for damping now?

I didn't use damping anyway. If i really need it i can use damping in wheelbase software but in AMS 2 it is not the case, for me at least.

I don't see any use for the damping_slider variable in @Gasngrip file.
So just like the original file, it doesn't matter what value you set. It do nothing.

I'm going to give your 1.5 a shot. Will let you know.....
I liked 1.5 more than 1.4 due to more brake effects and rear end slide control feel.
I used virtually the same VRS wheel base settings as I use with my profile.
    Ended up with the In-Game settings at 65 / 0 / 26 / 0 / 0
I was sort of fine tuning the overall amount of FX effects with the VRS slew rate, smoothing, damping, and SFR.
I think, compared to my profile that yours has better cornering details that come through quite well even while the car is already set into the corner, and I can feel the car dampers reacting to the road surfaces. Makes judging how much to throttle on exit easier when you can feel every surface detail all the way through the corners.
I liked the bump follow weight, and what I was seeing matched up with what I was feeling through the FFB.
My file has a larger peak slip angle window in and out, but your file is also very in time with the steering inputs and it gives a quick and steady response to driving while pushing hard.
I only drove the 992 at Nurb Veedol, so I think I'll keep using it for a while to really get used to it with some other classes of cars and tracks.
Well done, a very nice addition to the community collection.

guys thanks for the support by sharing your feedback and helping out others too.
just dropped v1.6 hope you will enjoy it

    release notes :
    • Enhanced Weight Transfer Dynamics :
      • Increased braking-induced weight transfer strength for more pronounced feedback during aggressive braking.
      • Balanced throttle-induced weight transfer to improve front-rear balance.
    • Improved Tire Feedback :
      • Refined tire flex and skid blending for smoother transitions between grip and slip.
      • Adjusted magnitudes to prevent overlapping with other effects, ensuring clarity.
    • New Subtle Road Surface Oscillations :
      • Introduced a gentle frequency-based oscillation effect tied to lateral load and speed, adding realism without overwhelming the wheel.
    • Refined Flat Spot Vibrations :
      • Boosted intensity for clearer feedback when locking brakes.
      • Limited activation to higher brake inputs using an additional smoothing function, reducing fatigue.
    • Optimized Rebound Dynamics :
      • Increased sensitivity to rapid lateral load changes for sharper directional feedback during quick steering inputs.
    • Code Cleanup & Readability Improvements :
      • Simplified calculations and improved code structure for easier maintenance and future updates.

hello thanks for sharing. maybe its a problem at my end or maybe not but wanted to let you know.
this latest version does not allow to modify gain, or better said, changing the Master FFB gain or per car doesn't do anything.
I was and still get the full 15Nm of my SIMAGIC APLHA and it hurts...

I reverted to my other Custom FFB file and problem is gone.

Quick fix, replace line (output (* output 1.0)) to:
    Code:
    (output (* output gain))

I like the 1.6 version. And I tried it at Sebring also and it was fine.
