@CrimsonEminence Evidence of cold tyres and brakes at T1? :) Not to mention good old-fashioned driver error. :D

Driver error - the thing with the trucks is - the colder the tires the better because they might accumulate more and more heat over time and start becoming worse.

I finally got to use the optimistic emoji. After this, v1.6 is going to be an anti-climax. :D

Among YouTube trash, found a real treasure. First full race onboard of an 80's F1 race I have ever seen.

Is this definitely '89? he appears to be using paddle shifters and they weren't introduced until I believe the year later (or possible 91!) (by Ferrari).

Definitely 89, as Berger won the race and Ferrari did start to use the paddle shifter in 89, it was very unreliable though.

And a couple of laps not 100% pushed with commentary on a Z06 at Nords.
Spoiler alert: Z06s are always bonkers (especially for the price they ask for them)

This just popped up on my Youtube feed, great little film of the Nurburgring from the Shell archives, I thought it was worth sharing. I've done this in AMS2 in VR in Graham Hill's car many times

Wow, thanks for sharing! Here we see why it’s called GREEN HELL.
Would love to have this track version in AMS2.

Yeah the 1970s version we have is good, it has the south loop just like in the film and is so good to drive in the Lotus 49, but interestingly in the film, it seems to jump from the first carousel to the second. I'm not sure if the route was more like that in the 60s or it was edited from the film. I love the bit where Graham Hill remembers hitting a dropped camera on the track which bust his oil tank and he says 'I ended up in that ditch over there on the left'
