Hi all, I tried now many different ways to setup my monitors right. I was watching a lot of videos, used nvidia surround, resize raccon, no nvidia surround etc. I've got 3 x 43 Inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G7. Either it looks completley weird when activating triple screen spanning (Nvidia surround on or off) or when I disable it, it looks somehow okish but the side monitors do not represent the right view. IMG_7927 represents the view without triple screen spanning. IMG_7922 represents the view with triple spanning activated in AMS2
I don't use Nvidia Surround and find the Triple-spanning to work well but, I think the key is to get the FOV setting to "Feel" correct for your setup. There will always be some amount of compromise in terms of achieving the "ideal" view.
I mean in Iracing, AC, ACC and LMU I was able to set the view right. This means I see both mirrors, a good sized cockpit and the right fov. What I'm wondering why I'm not allowed to go over 120 in the cockpit camera view? In Iracing for example I can go up to 180.. and my settings there are 160. Is there a workaround or so?
Not sure what the limitation might be although, Monitor view distance setting can definitely impact FOV. I have FOV assigned to a rotary-encoder so I can adjust on the fly anytime I want.
I was now able to go as far as 159. Nevertheless, it looks now like the pic below..from an FOV point of view it looks ok but the sides are super streched..
Yeah, that's not good. Have you tried running Steam file integrity for AMS2? When I had issues with triple-spanning in AMS2 (corrupted files?), I ended up doing a hard reset on graphics config and user profile (take note of settings / rename and save current files). Game will create new files, reconfigure settings and test. Since then, no more issues. But, if that doesn't work, a reinstall of AMS2 might be worth considering.
Thanks for the replies. The solution was as follows and for all that might struggle that nothing happens and it doesnt read the triplescreen.xml file try to modify the graphicsconfigdx11.xml : I had to edit the following line in the graphicsconfigdx11.xml file and set it to my full triple screen 4K resolution. Nothing else helped. Neither surround nor resize raccon etc. <prop name="Mode" adapter="0" width="11520" height="2160" refresh_num="119880" refresh_dem="1000" />
