I've had 2 or 3 months of trouble free play on AMS2. Just recently I've found my controller becoming randomly unresponsive. Usually it's fine in time trial mode, sometimes fine in practice sessions for LFM and league races, then when the qualifying session starts it's totally unresponsive. When I go back to 'options' sometimes I am able to to re-configure my gamepad, sometimes not. I think this all started after an update a couple of weeks ago. I don't get any problems with Rfactor2. Do I need to re-install the game? Does that take ages? Or is there a file or folder that I can edit? Its driving me crazy... Thanks!
Hi there, Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with AMS2. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem: Back up and reset your AMS2 settings: Navigate to your Documents folder, back up the AMS2 folder, then delete the original. Launch the game, rebind your controller, and check if the issue persists. Verify game files: In your Steam Library, right-click on AMS2, select Properties, then go to Installed Files and click Verify integrity of game files. Disable OneDrive: If OneDrive is syncing your Documents folder, it could be causing conflicts. Try disabling it temporarily to see if it helps. Monitor CPU usage and temperatures: High temps or irregular CPU behavior can affect performance. Use a monitoring tool, like HWinfo, to check for any potential issues. Let me know how it goes or if you need more help! Marius
Thanks Marius. I'll try a few things. I did verify files once, it fixed it temporarily. I read somewhere else about disabling anti virus/Windows firewall... I could try that. Its just strange that it was all fine, then started playing up after an update...
Oh, I forgot to list that you could try to disable Steam Controller Input. Also right click on AMS2 and then hover to the Controller Tab. That might work as well.
