Second Monitor - Timing/Telemetry App

Yes, if qualy wasn't already done in 2x/3x.

 

I just started using Second Monitor and am really impressed. There are two features in Iko Rein's Telemetry Tool that I would like to see in Second Monitor (or perhaps they're there and I haven't found them):

1. Ability to run some laps, including in time trial mode, and get a report that shows each lap but also the average (of good laps) and fastest for the session along with the standard deviation.
2. Showing racing line on the map for the car(s) being charted along with the ideal line.

Sometimes there are some laps that are missing in Practice / Qualify.
For example: in the file attached, the driver "Myco" had his first lap missed (the exit pit lap), so his second lap was consider his exit pit lap, and so considered Not Valid because of that.
But, in the end, this lap was his best lap.
In the end, his lap in the report is not in sequence regarding his place.

Same problem for driver "PVR_Helder" in the json attached.

I don't know if it's something that can be fixed?

My friend and I are using second monitor for AMS2 to run a championship. The app is pretty amazing. Was wondering if there was any way to use “race end” results instead of “race line” results to calculate the championship results for AMS2?

 

1. Not implementat atm, but should be possible. Excel reports already contain something similar. I will add it to the list.
2. Isn't possible without changing how map works in the app. Track map atm are just players coordinates captures over the duration of the lap. To show something like ideal line would require handcrafted maps (or extract the maps by some other method) and those ideal lines.

I will have a look, but first laps are another thing that is messy i.e. some sims, including AMS 2 don't increae completed lap counter when crossing finish line o the first outlap. So no promises

Not possible, trying to do reports is already messy, doing championships results is just not possible from the endstate data. More likely there will come a functionality to manually amend the results to fix any inconsistencies.

 

With the update of a few days ago there is a bug. Starting SM the oil tempature starts with 4 values, but at every refresh a new value is written in the line below (not on the same line). So the image of the circuit is gone within a few seconds and there is just a column with numbers.

 

I found a workaround for this!

Open Settings -> Car Info -> Dashboard Icons. Deselect 'Show Clutch Damage.' The app won't report clutch temperature so it doesn't report new values and mess up the layout.

 

The latest update has broken the layout.

 

Yep, agreed, it is doing some weird thing where all I see is rows and rows of temperatures

Yep, sorry for the inconvenience. The recent change caused the clutch icon text to be added instead of replaced... oops
