why won't VR recenter work anymore with varjo aero? Please help!

Everything used to work fine for years. Then my next level V2 motion platfrom broke before christmas and I stopped playing any games for around 4 months while I awaited the arrival of a DOF H3. Now I've had this new platform for over a month but have not been able to enjoy it because I cannot get AMS2 (and other games) to work properly as I cannot get myself in the correct driving position in the cockpit.
Can I say immediately that this is nothing to do with the new motion platform. I have set it up but I haven't used it because AMS2 isn't working, so the rig isn't even getting switched on at the moment - it is completely out the loop.
I am also above the cars in AC and ACC. No matter which button I assign to recenter VR in any game, it doesn't work in game. All other assigned buttons work, such as pause game or pit limiter etc.
I have unistalled and reinstalled the varjo aero several times with no change. I have gone back to earleir versions from last year when it was all working ok, but no change.
The headset works fine and as expected with Euro Truck Simulator 2 and with games like DCS World and Il Sturmovik where I can recenter in the cockpit ok.
My system details are AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor 3.70 GHz 32GB RAM 3080ti GPU Fanatec CSL 8 NM DD wheel base and Fanatec club sport pedals. I am on windows 10 home.
I thought I read somewhere that maybe it is a win 10 issue and I need to update to win 11? I do not really want to wipe all my games and reinstall the whole steam thing again.

Same here on Pimax Crystal, always worked up until today, recenter does nothing at all
No idea why.

 

Aha! Just found out that recenter now only works if I have the motion platform manager running. If I close that, recenter stops working, as soon as I run it again though, recenter works.

 

What is the motion platform manager? My recenter VR hasn’t been working whether the platform is switched on or off.
How do I get the motion platform manager running? Are you using a DOF Reality H3? Are you using SimHub to run your platform or SRS? I have been using SimHub. I hope you can help me!

 

I use the Next Level Racing V3, it's software is Platform Manager. I expect it's something to do with whatever it installs for motion compensation. Although I have played the game in the past without that running, so who knows lol. Hope you figure it out.
