They are the most unusual SUV i have ever seen! Where i come from a SUV is a four wheel drive type vehicle that sits on high up off the ground and have a large cabin. They just look like little hatchback type cars.

If these rules produce a good season, DTM should consider adopting it too

Can somebody point me to some website where every race for this year calendar is shown with its length (or is it always 50 min like yesterday's)? I found the calendar in the official website, but it seems I am too dumb to find the whole races info

I think they look awesome. If we are lucky and get to play with these in our favourite sim, I look forward to driving them around Betonschleife like God intended

500hp, 1100kg, RWD don't look like any SUV I've ever seen, but that's a heavenly combination for a race car. Hope we get these in AMS2 for sure.

Those cars are designed to resemble SUVs to mimic their market counterparts.

This first race was unique due to the delay in assembling the cars, the following stages will be like last year, a 30-minute race on Saturday and a 50-minute race on Sunday, including this one, DRS was not used, nor was the push to pass.

Dates are: DAY / MONTH / YEAR. ** indicates that this round is subject to change.
The rules are similar to last year. That is, two races. A 30 minutes race on Saturday and the main 50 minutes race on Sunday. Although this rule was modified for the first race because the cars had a lot of problems.

You can always watch the races here: https://www.youtube.com/@stockcarchannel

So, for those wondering what the f... just happened in the first race. Yes, it was confusing as fcku.

To sum up, the cars still have many problems. The main concern is about their durability. Many cars had problems. Nelson Piquet Jr. had a problem where his rear wing just came off by it's own - which might be an isolated problem, since these are the same wings used by the Sigma P1s.
Here's what happened: the first race was skipped. We only had the main 50 minutes race on Sunday. Both DRS (same rule of F1s) and P2P systems were not available. And for the first time in many, many years we had a situation where one single team would perform miles away in front of everybody else.

So, yeah. It was not a very good debut. In my opinion, I feel like these cars came out in "early access". They need a lot of work. But I do like them. The sound is not so bad and I'm looking forward to see both P2P and DRS systems working.

The next race is on the next weekend at Cascavel.

    Round 2, Cascavel is on!
DRS not enable yet. 36 P2P for each driver.

Here's the Saturday sprint race. The main race is tomorrow.

Thanks for posting these links Renan, this stuff can be difficult to find on English language Youtube, the search prioritises more American/European stuff from my end. Even though the commentary is foreign to me, the racing is in a language I understand :)

I like the series, strange though, that the video quality from 2-3 years ago is far better. This year has a strong, eye-straining interlaced transfer effect. Do you know, why they changed it?

Btw, the main race is about to start now:
