Nice turn out to the opening round. Magic_Mass wins the race and bonus 1 point for the fastest lap, with CMDRSirus53 on his heals after 74 minutes of racing in 2nd place and also picked up 1 bonus point for pole position. Great to see 11 drivers finish of the 12 that started, could of been 12 as BrockBuster#29 suffered a blown turbo.
The AUS/NZ crew took to the flat banking oval of Jacarepagua in Brazil for the Rio 280K round 2 of our championship. After a few more than expected virtual safety cars in the opening 30 laps, the drivers got into it with some fantastic racing. If you haven't tried this layout, I really recommend giving it some time to learn as it was a fun league race had by all last weekend down here in Australia. ANZCRL have completed the open 4 championship of the series with Detective taking out the open 4 championship. Detective will continue to try and keep his lead for the overall championship starting with our Indy 500 this weekend.
ANZCRL are into the back half of the 1998 Indycar Championship with 3 more races to go. Still time to join into our series preferably if you are from Australia or New Zealand, but we do welcome internationals as long as their car is stable on our server.
