I don't think anything official has been mentioned about Ford. A number of people have them on their wish lists.
Our hearts, man. They're in our hearts. As a Ford owner, that's unfortunately all we have for now. @Marius H Heh, you're right! And there's a fair number of cars that use Ford engines, IIRC (i.e. Caterhams).
If you download the fantastic F1 91 skinpack, you'll get a replica of the Jordan-Ford effort... we have been surrounded by Fords this whole time!!
I've driven Ford's my entire life, starting with a '65 Mustang 289. I'd like nothing more than to see them in AMS2.
Then... what's the problem? You're already playing two other fantastic sims that have the Mustang GT3. If Reiza can't get the licensing then it's not going to happen. In the meantime there are dozens of other cars that aren't Fords that you can drive and have an absolute blast in. You could always jump in the V8 Super which is a hybrid of the Ford Mustang and ZB Commodore V8 Supercars. But, what exactly is this obsession with Fords? You made almost an identical post 4 years ago. There are so many other great cars. I grew up with Group A and V8 Supercars on the TV but there are so many other things I enjoy racing in and it's been a very, very long time since I jumped into an 80's or 90's ATTC car of some sort in Assetto Corsa.
I don't think a mans obsession with a car is nearly as weird as you snooping around his profile for posts from 4 years ago. This is a car sim forum. We all have cars we love. If this was a knitting forum I'd understand your post.
Not snooping, just curiosity. I often look at people's profiles if they catch my attention for any reason at all, even yours it's not difficult to do, it's literally like 3 clicks at most to see someone's post history
I too wish there were Ford's in this game. Like even cars with Ford engines aren't mentioned by name. Cosworth or duratech. Can't be all bad. On the 1993 McLaren there is a Ford logo. So it's probably a licensing thing. I hope AMS 2 gets Fords at some point.
To get back to the original question: In American Truck Simulator 2, apparently. Never thought I'd see the day when they'd add Ford road cars to a truck sim... And yet AMS2 still has to do without. Oh well, in my mind it's a question of when, not if.
Well there are addon Fords in a few of the good Mods around...... Thunderflash.... XTC..... Project Cars...... Some (GT3) blend in to the existing classes. Some are in their own multi-car category. Most you can also edit their files to include them into any other group.class that you want. They are usually quite well matched - but if not, then you can edit the CustomAIDrivers file to match ALL cars up for a class.
