Over in a general gaming forum I frequent, since they know I'm a Automobilista 2 player, I was asked if there was any pre-WW2 content. I answered that there wasn't, as far as I know However, that got me thinking, is there any consensus on creating a DLC with cars (and maybe tracks) from earlier than the 1960s? Perhaps pre-WW2 might be pushing it a bit, but maybe post-WW2? Just wondering if there is any interest out there. I'd certainly plunk my money down for that!
I would love to see cars like the Maserati 250F and others of the 50s and 60s in AMS2 not only as I like them as a part of auto history, but also as I've always been disappointed by their implementation, same with those 'old' cars with their sloppy suspension that respond to steering inputs like a oil tanker, even the mods. A friend who had an Austin Healey 3000 which basically had a tractor engine in the front, that thing turned and it was only the occupants that wallowed over to the opposite side, the car didn't. (just my opinion) and so it should, it was made to be a sports car. So I think I would probably enjoy Reiza's version of these old beauties were they to do any.
I asked a similar question 3 years ago: DLC packs you want to pay for There were many positive responses, so I think there is interest. Even if all we end up getting is a single-car class with a generic 1950s F1 car and only modern tracks to race on, I still prefer racing something like that over the GT3s that are available everywhere.
