I would hope to get a World track pack. It would only consist of every existing race track with every historic variant that ever existed. Or am i asking for too much ? :D

    Hi Reiza Team,

First of all, thank you for your continued work on Automobilista 2 – it's an amazing sim that keeps getting better with each update.

I’d like to kindly request that the AI opponent limit be increased on certain larger tracks that can realistically accommodate more cars. For example, circuits like Le Mans (24H layout), Spa-Francorchamps, and the Nürburgring Nordschleife + GP layout have the pit and grid capacity to handle 60+ or even up to 100 cars, yet currently the AI limit is much lower (often capped at 47

It would be fantastic to experience multiclass endurance races or crowded GT fields on these iconic circuits with higher AI counts – especially in single-player mode, where full grids really enhance immersion.

Would it be possible to raise these limits in a future update, at least for selected large tracks that can handle it performance-wise?

Thanks again for the great work, and keep pushing AMS2 forward!

    Best regards,
    Greenario

You to appear be new here - so I will just say that the original cap was I think 32, and it took quite a lot of effort and trial and error despite the Madness engine's limitations to achieve 48 cars. This is to say, the team have long been aware that the game allows for fewer cars than they would like, just that I imagine that the jump to e.g. 60 from 48 would be another herculean feat, as far as I can understand. There were previously mods that allowed one to add more cars but that tanked performance - the work the team has done has allowed us to get to a playable and enjoyable 48 in certain circumstances.

I think that would be called Targa Florio, which I'm not even sure how that would even be made to work given that the track is the outline of an island several times larger than isle of man

I only saw that track once as a mod for F1 Challenge 99-02. And simply loading into it took at least five minutes never mind if you had ai opponents trying to spawn in

Is this a limitation that can't be fixed in part due to EA/Codemasters technically owning the right's to the madness engine and prohibiting excessive modifications to the code? Or am I overthinking things? (I feel like I am overthinking this)

They can change however they want. It is just a technical challenge/limitation.

AMS2 used to have a 32 car limit. After a long time testing in beta Reiza increased the limit to 48 cars. The reason for that limit is hardware limitations. There are mods that allow for larger grids than that but they have performance issues.

It maybe that Reiza could increase the grids, but they would need to do further testing.

I would love to see more cars on the two big tracks, Le Mans and Nordschleife.

    Version: 1.6.5.2
Suggestion: Please add LFE BASS to Rumble Strip Sound
Additional: Currently, the rumble strip sound has no Bass from any audio channel.
So any Bass at all would be an improvement but would prefer LFE channel for Subwoofers.

Basically, I want subwoofer bass not just force feedback coming from the rumble strips.

    Sedona Track Layout.jpg
    Sedona Raceway Park.jpg
Suggestion: Gives us a similar Track layout to these, don't care what track, fantasy, real etc...
Additional: One of those layouts I found somebody made as a replica of Sedona Raceway Park. The other is Sedona Raceway Park layout, a fantasy track from Forza Motorsport 4 on XBOX360.

just a small couple of things but really annoying
could ams2 save the mirror positions for each car once set
slot of the time it doesn't
also if it could save the preferred livery once selected that would be great, thanks

    Re.FFB

The inbuilt custom force feedback file to include basic additions eg brake force , engine vibration , scrub , off throttle force effect

all set to 0 , for the user if required to set desired level for desired effect
Will save users hours fiddling with all the random ( mostly awful ) “custom” files floating around

as these lines will be at 0 the actual ffb for the custom selection will feel exactly the same , it’s only used intervention that will effect this

    big thanks

Improved controller/gamepad support. As I am mainly a casual player who first played AMS2 on my Steam Deck, I would love for there to be more support or ways to alter the steering physics of the game to make the car less likely to constantly oversteer on a controller. I currently don't want to get a wheel or dedicated setup, as that was what drew me to AMS2 initially (Steam Deck/Controller Support).

I've followed just about every guide and tip regarding this out there, but I still find myself having to constantly pause mid drive to tweak settings as well as change my settings on a per car basis. Which after grabbing LMU to scratch my Valkyrie itch while waiting on AMS2, made me realize just how much tweaking I was doing, just to find some level of controllability. So much so that I found out that in LMU, I was gripping my controller more gently as I wasn't having to worry about snap oversteer from too much gas or brake in the corners.

Compared to AMS2, which needs me to tightly grip controller & strain my right hand due to having to be so careful with my throttle application.
