Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

    Report: I've noticed a possible inconsistency (or bug) with the Le Mans 24H track in Automobilista 2. The track info shows a maximum capacity of 60 cars, but:

    • In both Single Race and Custom Race modes,

    • Regardless of the class I select (GT3, P1, Group C, Formula V10, etc.),

    • The maximum number of opponents I can choose is only 47.
    I also tried using multiclass mode, but the car limit still remains at 47.

    I'm running the latest version of the game, with no mods or custom edits (clean install), so this appears to be a game-side limitation. It seems inconsistent with what the track itself advertises, and I'm wondering if this might be related to pit box allocation or another internal restriction.

    I’d really appreciate it if the team could look into this for a possible fix in a future update. Thank you for the great work you're doing with AMS2!

    Car Used: GT3, P1, Group C, Formula V10, LMDH, etc (tested individually and in multiclass combinations)
    Applicable Settings: Single Race, Custom Race, Multiclass
    Report: The track displays a maximum capacity of 60 cars, but the opponent selection is limited to 47, regardless of the car class or whether multiclass mode is used.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Go to Single Race or Custom Race
    2. Select Le Mans 24H
    3. Choose any car class (GT3, P1, Group C, Formula V10, LMDH, etc.), or a multiclass combination
    4. Attempt to raise number of opponents above 47 — not possible, even though the track shows a capacity of 60 cars.
    Tested on the latest version of AMS2, with no mods and a clean install.


    System specs:
    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H with Radeon Graphics (3.00 GHz)
    • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (Laptop)
    • RAM: 16 GB
    • OS: Windows 11 Home Single Language, version 24H2 (build 26100.4652)

    AMS2 never supported more than 48 cars (that is also new)

    So fat it only changes if i mouse click it. controller or keyboard doesnt work

    Report: Pay attention to the fuel consumption and how the game calculates the required amount. If you calculate it yourself, there are also problems with the consumption not being correct.

    Car Used: Aston Martin Vantage GTE (tested single player race)
    Applicable Settings: Single Race
    Report: My car selection is Aston Martin. If the opponent selection ( same class ) is limited to 26 no other Aston Martin is as opponent car present, but when the opponent selection is at 27 or above so the mix of all opponent cars are fine.
    .
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. I tried some others tracks ( if possible of more then 27 opponent cars selection possible ), always the same.
    Tested on version 1.6.6 and 1.6.6.1 of AMS2, with no mods and a clean install.

    You should check if you have some custom driver files in games folder, as the game will select first the cars that are mentioned inside this xml file.

    In my replay, the opponents simply stop at the start, the whole race.

    It doesn't matter whether I pause the video or watch it all the way through, the AI stays still and my car drives.

    Report: Kerbs and sausages do not or not as expected reflect the light of a car in night. They are staying dark like there is no light illuminating them.

    Report: On the MONZA highway, AI flew off the highway and could not leave, passed forward and tried to turn right, apparently they do not have the function to reverse, or AI does not see this wall as an obstacle.

    If you pause the replay a few moments the AI will start to race again

    After one of the latest bigger updates, if we spool the replay, the game has problems keeping up what the AI is doing, so they just sit still on track when watching, but in the background they are still moving.

    If we pause the replay, the game will catch up and the AI will move again

    Our own view moves without problems

    Applicable Settings: Rain tyres
    Report: Rain tyres start at 75 degrees like slicks and race start is impossible to start well until they cold.
    Steps to reproduce: I'm racing on a tournament and in one race with storm weather, I set "Rain Tyres" in configuration to start the race. That makes the initial temperature too high and to spin the car very often. Is this the meant behaviour or should be a fix for this?

    Applicable Settings: Custom Championship.
    Report: Hello. I’m on the latest version of AMS2 via Steam. When I create a custom championship (XML or from in-game), I set 25 opponents, but when I start the championship only 1 or 2 AI drivers appear.

    Race Weekend works fine with full grids. The bug seems exclusive to the custom championship mode. I’ve tried:

    - Full profile reset (AppData, Documents)
    - Clean install
    - Manual XML and .sav championship creation
    - Different car classes (GT3, Stock Car Pro, etc.)

    Still, the bug persists. This seems to be a bug in the current version. Please advise or patch. Thanks!

    Report: The AI is unbelievably OP when it comes to turn 3. They are able to brake much later and carry much higher apex speed than I can. I could come up to a tenth of a car before turn 3 and then after I lose 3-4 tenths to the car ahead.

    For developers, it's happened to me a few times that at the start of a session with unused cars, the setup section had values that are normally not adjustable for that car category, as if they were referring to a different car. After using the reset setup, all the invalid values disappeared and the normally adjustable values for the car returned.
    The latest example was last night. I was using the Puma Copa Classic (they have few adjustments), but the setup menu seemed to have the one for an LMDH loaded (I could change everything).

    There is a bug in the Time Trial mode when loading setups from the 2nd and 3rd ghost cars. Only the setup from the first ghost can be loaded. When clicking on the 2nd or 3rd ghost, the message "Successfully loaded Ghost Car Setup ..." is shown, but the setup is not actually loaded, the setup from the first ghost (if loaded initially) or the previous setup from the last session remain.

    This has been present from December last year, from the introduction of 1.6. I thought that somebody would notice :). Not a major thing, though sometimes it would be nice to have three ghosts loaded and combine them.

    Keep up the great work! I've got all of your DLCs :). The updated Copa FL feels awesome, and as usual, the F-cars are unmatched.
