Friendship request during departure

Hi all.
I want to race online on LFM using VR

My problem is someone send me an invite during the red light countdown .
This open a game window that causes vr exits and I cannot start the race.

What to do?

Turn off the invite notifications in steam to prevent it from popping up

 

Steam has a "Do Not Disturb" function or turning off the Steam overlay may be enough to keep it from interrupting the game.

 

But Is not a steam popup. Is an in-game windows. However I'll try to disable steam notifications

I set do not disturb but a Spanish man send me a friend request during the red light procedure and Vr mode exits.
It is not a steam overlay. It's an in-game request
How to ask the developers to not permit this request during the race?

 

AMS2 dont have a friendlist, and if its not Steam when its some app you have installed

Disable Windows Gamebar/Xbox in windows or any other social app you installed

Next time you get it, take a screenshot and show us - That way it will be way easier to help you

 

As mentioned, AMS2 doesn't have a friendlist, i would make sure Discord is not running in the background, or at least turn off that game overlay, i think they changed their overlay recently, so it might cause your issue.
