Hi guys, I just wanted to post my thanks. Where to start... Five days ago, I bought your simulator and I honestly loved it. I'm an ACC player and I decided to try your simulator and I simply loved it.I just wanted to thank you for your work. I'm really enjoying this sim. Graphically, it's spectacular, the physics are incredible, at least for me, and it's well optimized, except for a couple of points. My PC is: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 64Gb 2Tb NVMe and a GTX 1060 6gb (first of all, I'll be upgrading my graphics card to a better one this year) What I mean is that it's very well optimized, except for the rain, which causes FPS drops. I assume it's my graphics card, and I guess when I replace it, it will run better, but in general, the game runs at 60 fps like butter. A couple of personal points for my taste: I'd like to see Ferrari in the sim, and more classics like the Ferrari Sharkmouth, and see the Mazda787. I just wanted to thank you for your work, keep it up, and I hope you are successful. I'm really enjoying the simulator. I have a question... all the cars are licensed except for a couple. For example, the licensed F1 cars like McLaren and Lotus are cool, but the F1 cars that aren't licensed... is the model real in terms of design without logos, or is the shape also modified? Thank you guys!
Hello, welcome to the AMS2 community! I can answer that: They are usually inspired in some real world counterpart. For instance the Formula V10 G1 that is not a MClaren ressembles a Dome F105 (a car that did not actually race officially). Fórmula V12 is clearly inspired in the Ferrari of 1995. In the High-techs you can identify one similar to the Williams, on similar to the Benneton, one to the Ferrari, etc. I think the Vintages (V8, V12) for instance, are much more generic. Clearly the V8 is a car equipped with a Cosworth as many privateers in those times. The FUSA 2023 is clearly a fantasy indycar though not inspired at all in the real model.
Thanks, let's see. I honestly don't like modern F1, I like the F1 of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and even the 90s, the era of Ayrton Senna and Prost, it was a question I thought about asking out of curiosity, but all the others are licensed, McLaren, Lotus, etc., then the Le Mans classics, only the Mazda 787b is missing, the modern GT3s, it's a category that I love, and also the DTM of the 90s, I would like to see DTM from the 2010s, and as I said in my post Ferrari, I am a Ferrari lover, and yes, I would like to see them, the new 296evo 2 of the Gt3, the BB from LeMans, the sharkmouth, you know ... but that's just a wish of mine. and the optimization until the graphics change I suppose that the low fps in the rain I suppose I will continue to have them, but it would be good if they optimized the rain a bit.
You can get excellent skin packs for the historic F1s and real driver names too, you can then effectively run an F1 season.
Please don't quote me as I might be thinking of a different company, but I believe Ferrari is the one who has said they're "not interested" in being in the game, unfortunately. Hopefully this will change in the future!
They also said Ferrari would never go electric. Lack of vision, pure elitism. Pragmatic reality will hunt them.
