I figured this particular community resource would be more easily located if given its own thread. 99% of any recognition goes rightfully to the various authors of custom-FFB files ... I'm just the Archivist. Although AMS2 is a physics-based simulation, the finer and final aspects regarding FFB preferences are, in the end, subjective. Attached is a collection of custom-FFB files for AMS2 developed by the community to help make a great racing simulator even better. If there are additional files, or updated ones, that need to be added, please feel free to reach out to @john Ellis and @ricxx to help them keep things up to date. The Custom FFB Collection comes in two versions: One already includes JSGME, the other does not. Installation: Extract the .7z to your Documents\Automobilista 2 folder. Prior to launching AMS2, use JSGME to activate the custom-FFB file of your choice. Note: Z-Archive folders contain many earlier/previous versions in separate subfolders. To activate any of these files with JSGME, copy over the relevant subfolder to the main folder prior to installation. Ciao ragazzi, per favore qualcuno potrebbe spiegarmi cos'è JSGME e come usarlo? Un'altra domanda, le versioni più recenti dei file sono quelle più aggiornate all'ultima versione di AMS2? Thanks a lot
Please what's JSGME and what's the use that I have to do with the file customer ffb? And the last version of these files are updated to the last version of AMS2? Thanks
The purpose of the Custom FFB Collection is to gather and catalogue all the various custom FFB files into a single, comprehensive library. Simracers can use JSGME to conveniently activate or deactivate specific custom files for testing, and comparison between different files, prior to choosing which custom-FFB file is preferred for long-term use.
Thanks! This is really interesting and the software is included in the zipped files? Is there a text with explanation? Really good solution, congrats
JSGME (i.e., JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler by Jaesen Jones) has been around since 2003. There was a time, in the past, when JSGME represented the cutting edge of mod management. Plenty of the modding utilities we use today can trace their lineage in one way or another to JSGME. I'm glad to do my small part to keep it relevant in 2025! Here's a brief, silent video of JSGME in action (Just remember to extract JSGME into the Documents/Automoblista 2/ folder):
