I wonder how much people's expectations from the weather system vary depending on where they live.

Your first date is September, the second one October. So it is very likely that the sim switched the foliage from summer to autumn. Each season has its own set of foliage and there must be a certain date where it changes from one to the next. You hit it.

Thanks guys. It was strange when I was looking for a date where the track temperature would average 30°C and the foliage would be greener. Even though it's likely the same as in my hometown, where you can experience all four seasons in a single day, I found the variation from day to day (~6°C ambient temperature) and the track temperature from 38°C to 14°C, under the same conditions, very strange.

Not to belabour this topic, but a 6C change in one day is typical even in places without four full seasons.

Last week where I live, the temp changed from 34C in the late afternoon to 14C in the late evening--a 20C drop in the space of a few hours. Most of the continental world that is not right beside a moderating ocean experiences large temperature swings on a regular basis. In many desert areas, 20C or 30C swings happen every day/night cycle.

As mentioned above, the game is a racing sim, not a weather sim, so it won't always be pin-point accurate, but instead hopefully introduces the possibility to experience the range of realistic weather for each track (location). That's about all we should expect.

Thats not a bug, it actually works, but with the limitation that if you choose a real weather date in MP thats after the date of the last ams2 update, it will convert the real weather data into a 4 weather slots session. But the slots arent random, they are the correct real weather.

However if you choose a real weather date from before the date of the last ams2 update, then it doesn't have any limitations, it will build a real weather session with 24 hidden slots just like in single player.

Real Weather Bug – [IMG] 1996 Brazilian GP (Interlagos) Weather Offset

Hi everyone, here is my report for the 1996 Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.

Issue: When setting up a race to replicate the 1996 Brazilian GP (race start at 13:00 local time), the weather does not match historical conditions. In reality, the race started under torrential rain, but in-game, the weather is only “Heavy Cloud” with a dry track.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Select the 1993 Interlagos GP track
    2. Set the session start time to 13:00 local time. Custom date is 31 March 1996
    3. Enable Real Weather.
    4. Start the session: the weather is “Heavy Cloud” and the track is dry, instead of the expected heavy rain.

After some testing, it appears the storm arrives around 16:00 in-game, which is several hours after the actual race start.
The weather should reflect the historical conditions at 13:00 local time, i.e., heavy rain and a wet track. This issue suggests a time offset in the Real Weather data for this specific event.
Thanks for your attention, and keep up the great work!

Just a side note by someone who never used Real Weather:
Interlagos is located at UTC -3

This doesnt matter, the time you choose in game is always the local time of the track location, not UTC time, and the real weather is applied to local time of track location. I get you said this because Alain reported a 3 hour error in the weather, but the 3 hours error is just a coincidence, not related to utc difference.
