-Give option for server creator to allow in race join in, so players dont have to wait till race finishes and allows the server to be full of people, otherwise it puts people off for waiting. -Give option to select whether the server will simply just restart weekend, rather than going back to lobby, like other sims where you finish race, then the qualify or practice session just restarts, (like a loop), again this is so people stay and makes server more populated. -Server crashes many times when qualify ends, it requires the admin to press continue, only then the server goes to race, this shouldnt happen, just have a timeout system and then go to next session, do not wait for admin to press continue. This also happens when the race ends and the screen just gets stuck and doesnt go back to lobby. This please needs to be sorted out, as this is a major problem with multiplayer at the moment, the server shouldnt need admin input to move to next session, only a timeout then move automatically, as some admins are away from keyboard for a time period or just unaware. Admin although should have the power to skip session, restart etc. -Give more options in terms of different classes in a trackday scenario, so I can add more than 4 cars in a server for a trackday or even all cars option which would be great. -I know its early days, but the ability to setup a dedicated server like Assetto Corsa or Rfactor would be great, so the server can keep going on and on in a loop (without going into lobby) and does not require an admin to be present. A dedicated server working independent of the game application is great and doesnt stress the computer too much, if I choose to leave it running for 24 hours or even more. And maybe allow a android app to control and create servers, I know abit too much too soon, but a suggestion. -The random weather although its brilliant, but it can be very rough, with rain, heavy fog, then suddenly clear or light clouds to heavy rain again, its very aggresive. Maybe add different random weather presets, like one random without rain, random with rain, random without heavy fog, etc etc, like there needs to be different random weathers presets with different intensities. -Formation lap can be broken, with cars flying in the air once formation lap has started, and there should be a maybe 10 second countdown from the race start to formation lap starting or standing start, as its just instant after the initial countdown. -Sometimes when in lobby the voting system doesnt work, for example 3 out of 4 people vote to continue, but the lobby doesnt go to next step into the session, just cause the admin didnt click the vote button. The feature should be when 40 to 50 percent of people vote to start, the server should just start without admin's approval, unless there are only 2 people in lobby like the admin and another player, but when there are three people, 2 votes are enough, admin's vote or not. -So overall I want the servers to be more smooth in going from one session to another and restarting straight to qualify or practice after the race session has ended, rather than going to lobby, I mean you can add both options and allow the server creator to choose. Time outs are enough without admin approval. -If I have more suggestions, ill write them in the near future.
Thats a bad idea. You are doing a race with 10 or more people and in the last lap there enter some idiots and crash it. You'll never use that option again. Let them join as spectators and if they see interesting races they'lll stay and join the next session. If, and thats the really important feature you asked for, after end of race all stay in the same lobby.
I kinda disagree. All sims have in race join in option and not all are gonna act like bellends. Many behave decent. Otherwise this option should be added in and its upto the server creator if he wants in race join in or not. I mean its a standard in all sims this option. Cant be that bad. It allows ppl to stay in ur server and not move to another one so it retains ppl. Also nobody got time to spectate for 10 laps or so.
you're a lucky guy, if you never had problems with crashers. I administrated pCARS1/2 servers since 2015 and can tell stories. I recommend reading the pCars forums. There are many kids and pCARS haters around. Some were there as teams, just for that. Since i admin an AC-Server the situation has got better. But i warn and kick campers immediately when i'm online. And the blacklist is growing
yeh i kno, ive been making the acs-uk servers, so yeh i know the chaos, but still they behave lol well some and some dont i kicked them and then they behave or ban them for a day or so, but i never banned anyone permanent, they're just humans lol, so my empathetic nature takes over. but they learn after a knock to their senses. but still we need race join ins, we need retention of ppl to stay in servers, we need a full workable server settings like other sims, so we can make servers properly, yesterday i made a ams2 server labelled ACS_UK TRACKDAY, and i went asleep the server was ment to be for 9 hours practice 9 hours qualify, but when i woke up i had a ''you been disconnected'' from the server, i mean that shouldnt happen
Please don't implement the Assetto Corsa Killer The option to join during a race. I will end up racing in public races, racing against people who are laps behind, I would be glad if i could see all the server settings in the lobby, and if i had the possibility to see them after joining.
I agree with the server settings you can view before you enter the server and also after you enter the server. And there should be a description of the server, so the server creator can write what he/she wants, just like a welcome message that we have on AC, but you can view it anytime and not just when you first enter the server. I REALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT the problem is with people concerning race join in options, every sim has this option. Just join a server where the server creator doesn't allow race join in, thats simple right ? but Reiza should give option for server creators to allow race join in as an option which can be turned on and off. What we need in regards to server is we need a FULL settings tweakable options, so we can create a tailor made server. The race join in options has benefits, like it retains the people, they do not need to wait till race is over, otherwise they shift to other servers, I want to see more fuller servers with people, I dont want to race in boredom, that is why AC is thriving with people, cse it offers more functionality with its server settings, we need this here and even more. I mean look at other sims they have loads of server settings we need that. And if your still worried about race join ins, just enter a server which does not allow race join ins, simple.
For the mid-race join concern... I love the idea, but only if something like iRacing would be implemented. Basically anyone can join the race, but they would either be completely unseen by people that were in the race from the beginning, or they would be fully ghosted so that people knew who was/wasn't there from the beginning of the race. In both cases, the post-start-of-the-race joiners could be passed through, without any contact occurring.
Add a decent safety rating system and mid race join wouldn't be such an issue. I agree an option to auto cycle with current settings or a preset track list on rotation rather than jumping back to the lobby would be a good idea. Not even sure how that works, does admin have the choice or could players potentially vote for something the admin doesn't want causing them to have to leave the server they are hosting and sat in waiting for it to get populated?
First, no, not all sims have the option to join mid-race...ACC comes to mind as the most recent. Why do I want to have non-competing cars entering the track during a race?! I don't care about the next race when a new car enters the track and impedes my progress, or worse yet, crashes me out. Not many (any?) people have a firm grip on the nuances of every track in the game. To add people out lapping for the first time (or 2nd, or haven't been on it in some time, etc) is a recipe for disaster. In addition, I have personally yet to see a sim have a 'glitch-free' mid-race join system (I have not tried them all, however). Not fun to get that glitch when you are about to turn-in. It is happening now on non-race sessions, so no thanks in races. These opinions all refer to the public severs...as for dedicated servers? Yea, I guess so, but it should be listed when signing into the server. I wouldn't join one, unless it was part of a league.
So ur saying acc doesnt have race join in. Dude hav u been living on planet zod lately ? Check acc again and u will see it does have both servers where u can and cannot join in mid race. Idk wat u guys are spewting it seems like im the only guy with sum sense here. A multiplayer service should have all options available for server creators. If you wanna join a race in allowable server u do that. If not u hop on a server that doesnt hav race join in. Also the safety rating will eliminate some in race join probs. Planet zod.
