    A question for the professionals is off-topic, but maybe someone can help me. I would like to use two steering wheels on my DD1. Unfortunately there is no way to save two profiles in the game. In which file are the wheel settings with the key assignment saved? Then I would swap them. Thanks in advance

    I believe there already have been requests regarding this feature, not sure if it's going to be implemented though.

    I think its here:
    \Documents\Automobilista 2\savegame\22765159\automobilista 2\profiles

    The files say "defaultcontroller" but I believe they are current so creating another one for a different rim should work.

    Instead of manually copying config files, you can also try out the Madness Tool - Custom FFB and Profile Manager.

    Hey guys, unfortunately, I am out of the game for the foreseeable future, due to the pandemic I've been forced to focus on my career a bit more and also sell all my gear. Hopefully, in a future not too far away I can come back to it with a DD setup:cool::cool::cool::D, Good luck to you all with the Custom FFB, and have fun with the GTs and the green hell next month!

    All the best!
    F.Santos

    Thanks:
    @Karsten Hvidberg
    @NuScorpii
    @Alegunner68
    @Shadak
    And everyone that participated and help so far with the custom files, it was awesome!

    Santos,

    Thank you so much for all your help and enthusiasm for the custom files, HM or Silver Raw alike. It has been a pleasure to share the experience with you, hopefully you will be back to contribute again sometime soon.
    Good luck in life and in getting back on to a Sim rig again!

    Cheers to you!

    @Shadak @Ernie
    thank you very much for your advice. Ernie's tip in particular gave me a great solution, the tool is terrific. Now I can manage the steering wheels and the FFB files. Another question about the FFB files: I use the settings recommended by Fanatec in the base, which settings do I use InGame? I now have Gain 65, LFB 10 and FX 50 and am using the FFB file from NuScorpii Heavy Brass v2.5? Best regards

    Why is there zero FFB if LFS is at zero? But back to full FFB if LFS is at 1?

    The custom files in general fix this, but there is a small bug in Reiza code responsible for this issue. So just set it at 1 when not using a custom file that fixes it.

    Just a quick question. In the latest Silver Raw files, there is a line (feel with a setting of 2. What does this line effect and what happens if that setting is changed up or down. Thanks.

    Hey Michael!

    It boosts the feeling of bumps when cornering, mostly.
    So if the car is wobbling up/down through a corner you get more of the less resist/more resist/less resist, while bumping round the corner.
    Setting at 1.0 will match not having it. Lower will relax it instead of boosting.
    1.0 is prob. best for DD.
    I would think prob. 1.5-2.0 is good for most belts, but it's very subjective as always and will depend on the exact wheel base and wear and tear of that unit.

    I'm not sure it will stay in the file. It's an experimental feature.

    Cheers, -Karsten

    Is the ffb_custom_settings-full-silver-raw-6.6.5.9.9.6-lowerend-belts file also for the gear driven wheels or only for belt driven?

    Lars,

    It is hard to say, I think there's even a big difference bc of wear/tear between t300's, so if the gears are in great shape, maybe it will work ok.
    I think you'll have to try.

    FYI: Posting the next version now which might be better suited(6.6.5.9.9.7).

    Would it be possible to have a custom FFB file with no road effect. In AMS2 it always feel to me like the front wheels are bouncing a little, like either the suspension are bouncy or the tyre are not round. I have tactile to feel the road bumps, I would prefer a still wheel, only feeling weight transfer and aerodynamic strength. I tried altering the custom files but I am getting nowhere.

    Thank you for the file, but it did not fix my issue. maybe it is not the FFB, maybe it is something in the road mesh or whatever. It reminds me of some cuisine where they use the same spice in all dishes, the first time it feels good but after 2 days it makes you wish they stop using it.
    Maybe AMS2 is not for me after all, at least not in the present stage.
    It hurts me because the VR is excellent and some classic track are appealing to me.

    @Karsten Hvidberg Thank you for the hard work you have done in the latest Silver Raw file (Silver Raw 6.6.5.9.9.8 - Momentum Rack 4.4, September 4 2020). I've tested quite a few versions of Silver Raw files recently, many of them were experimental versions which were never released in this thread's 2nd post. While the previous versions worked already great for me but this new 6.6.5.9.9.8 version works just brilliantly in all cars I've tested so far with my TS-PC Racer. It has quite literally everything I wish for the FFB in AMS2, the feedback I get from my wheelbase is phenomenal.

    To prove how excellent this file is when driving at the limit, I'd like to post a few screenshots here. Today with the help of the "Silver Raw 6.6.5.9.9.8 - Momentum Rack 4.4" I managed to set a new world record with recently released McLaren MP4/12 on Brands Hatch GP in AMS2 leaderboards. :)

    EDIT: Re-posted the screenshots - reason: I managed to improve the lap time of the world record I already had in my possession. :)

    FYI, (just saw the newer files), I was using the 6.6.5.9.9.7 Low-end files, when I got the 'pull to the right' on my wheel again, after running fine in earlier sessions w/ the Ginetta @ Bathurst, and Puma @ Goiana. Second session w/ Puma @ Goiana is when is happened, then carried over to another session w/ the F-Ultimate @ Hockenheim. All MP. Just reporting, as the cause (whatever it is) could still be in the latest, v665999.1 and/or v665999.2.

    FYI, in various MP session earlier today, the pull never occured.

    PS. BTW, can you double-check your 'low-end' and 'DD' files in the set of v6.6.5.9.9.2, as both headings say DD, and though values are not too different, so not too sure w/c is for w/c wheel. Thanks.

    Hey Sherpa,

    It's a copy paste error, just the text is wrong.
    But v6.6.5.9.9.2 felt too heavy for me, so I just re-balanced it and posted v6.6.5.9.9.3.
    Text should be correct in that one now.

    I am sorry to hear the pull left raised it's ugly head, I will try and take an extra look tomorrow to see if anything obvious can be found that would cause it.

    Best regards,

    -K

    How do I get rid of the light weight centre feel, reminds me of turning steering wheel when car is of the ground on axle stands. I am using DD wheel 20nm, any help would be appreciated.
