Looking at the photo and where you were on track, I think you are driving through a cloud of dust kicked up by the car in front.
The thing I've noticed more since 1.6, is the fact that if you do spin the car you have to take the next few corners a bit easier.
What did you have the time acceleration set to? The live track condition is now controlled by time progression not by weather speed.
Can I just ask what time and weather rates you were using? I would expect the air temperature to change significantly quicker than the track...
