Which cars did you use? Did you use default setup? What were your ffb setings?
You have three options: realistic, artificial and none. Realistic should be TC and ABS where available on a real car, but I'm not sure if it works...

I just tried version 1.03 for gear driven wheels on my good old GTDF and it feels really good. Best custom settings I've tried so far.
