It bothers me quite a bit too, but it might require too much of a graphics engine overhaul to make it in AMS. For Reiza 17 it's a given.
I've found that I need to clutch in to shift from N to 1 in cars that have manual sequential (Marcas, SuperV8, etc). Don't know if that's working...
