New to sim racing and building a rig.My pc has a ryzen 5-7600x and a rx6800xt gpu. What sort of frame rates/game settings could I expect at 1440p with 27inch triples. Is my pc enough for 1440p or should I go for 1080p for higher framerates/settings?
Triple 1080 is more demanding in pixel count I had a 6800xt last year and could run an UW 1440 with high settings above 100fps including in demanding weather now running a rtx3080 as VR and 4K is my focus I have kept the triple 1080 setup as it has its plus for games and productivity
1080p triples where pretty decent on my 3080, pretty solid 144fps. 1440p triples is a big ask for a 6800xt though. 1440p certainly look crisper but frames over resolution is my preference. 1080p x 3 is 6million pixels. 1440p x 3 is 11 million. A single 4k is 8 million. So if your 6800xt can do very well on a 4k screen it would be fine, But a 6800xt isnt a 4k card. I would go 1080p triples.
