Hi everyone, I’m new to AMS2, and I’ve been enjoying the experience so far. After spending some time with the game, I noticed a few aspects that could benefit from refinement, at least from my point of view. Map size and zoom: The map often feels either too large or too small. A simple HUD option to adjust map zoom would make navigation far more practical. Car selection menu: It would be great to browse cars by manufacturer. The “favorites” filter is a welcome addition, but the overall menu layout could be improved, the current template doesn’t fully reflect the quality of the game. Car damage behavior: When the car is heavily damaged at high speed, the hood tends to fly forward. At around 270 km/h it should realistically blow backward due to airflow, not ahead of the car . Odometer: It would add a nice layer of immersion if each car had a working odometer tracking total distance driven, starting from zero. Since the game already shows car-specific usage data in the driver info section, this seems feasible to bring into the actual in-car instruments. One final question: I see AMS2 focuses heavily on endurance, GT, prototypes, and race-ready cars. Are there any plans to introduce street cars in future DLCs, similar to the road cars you find in games like Forza Motorsport, not only the GT or race-converted versions? Thanks for reading, and thanks to the devs for the excellent work so far.
Odometer - it does work in some of the street cars More street cars - if there's one thing racing sims show you, it’s that street cars suck on the track. High end sports/hyper cars are “statements” that often perform worse than modest track cars. Suggest AC Evo for that type of driving or even BeamNG
Yeah, on the Porsche I tried it didn’t work, and honestly it’s kind of fun driving with the HUD off, the tracks are cool enough to enjoy it that way. On the kart it obviously doesn’t make sense, but in some cars it’s nice to have it working. Sure, high-end sports/hyper cars won’t perform like a racing car tuned for the track, but it’s really cool to be able to race them in a game with good physics that aren’t arcadish. I already have the AC series and enjoy it, but this game has an insane amount of tracks and great graphics, so why not ask? I also made a new post with a car list that I think fits the game’s core better.
If you are willing to install the AMS 2 content manger and try some mods, you'll be able to mess around with a semi-decent selection of street cars.
Honestly street cars is the only I actually Reiza could save the time spending on adding new ones. They all drive quite horrible to me, like the Z06 feels like it has abolutely no grip and can't corner anything - The real cars definitely aren't that bad even if they are not pure racecars. And you can't really race them in classes since they don't have any BOP towards each other.
