Hello, a question that I couldn't find the answer to it: Are older cars licensed by the teams or makers who made them? Does licencing make the data more accurate and less of a guess work? Does licencing means the users being forced to pay more money? I am asking a Q&A. Not suggesting any idea Maybe a licence will make you pay money for each car which is something I don't want and won't do. Thanks sim racers/ drivers!
Some are, some arent, AMS is a mix of licenced and inspoired content. The Copa Classics and OldStock for example are licenced, the Formula cars aren't. How much data you get depends on how much the teams/manufacturer is willing to tell you. There may be a clause in the licencing contract that entitles the devs to a certain amount of data, but not every licenced car has 100% accurate data. STOP. Nobody will ever force you to buy anything.
Yeah me too Your first two questions were interesting too. I mean no ill will. The thing is, you start two threads, both in the end to worry about what future content will cost and if you're being ripped off now of later. There is a bit of a language barrier here as well I feel. Let's see if we can't come to understand each other. I meant to STOP worrying too much about future content costs. Here's why: Unlicenced content in AMS won't suddenly become licenced at extra cost, replacing the unlicenced content, if that is your fear. Reiza would lose any trust from us they have earned, and they're not suicidal. There may be licenced paid DLC in the future to add to the unlicenced cars that are already there, but the devs won't take away a car they worked on simply to make you buy something else. All paid DLC for AMS1 was licenced, tracks as well as cars. They cost what they cost, and that already includes the licence fees. Reiza will have done their calculations beforehand, knowing what the licence will cost them, how many units they will likely be able to sell, and if therefore the price of the content can be kept low enough for people to stay interested. It will very likely be the same with AMS2. The base game already includes a mix of licenced an unlicend content being sold at the price it currently holds. If all the content was licenced, there may either be a bit higher price, or - more likely - some content would have been left out. My guess is that all the unlicenced content is there to keep costs low while still providing us with the cars and tracks that are represented. There would be no licenced Suzuka track in AMS, because it is absurdly expensive to licence, so wie have Kansai, which looks a lot like it. Same with Monte Carlo / Azure. If potentially being ripped off by AMS2 really is a big worry for you, I can only suggest to wait until development has ended in about three years time and then buy the content you're interested in. Thank u very much I understand now. No worries. I loved AMS1 and sure will love AMS2. I am thankful they gave us something new. I already asked them to end my account in the forum by sending them a message . I tried to sign in to check if they managed to do it yet.
