I simply had to put this in writing, my love affair with AMS2! Back in December I felt I needed a racing title on my Steam Deck and was delighted to see this new (to me!) title supported. Dived in and tried the demo and bought the game that same night. Following day was DLC. The game had me immersed - yes even on the Steam Deck. However, I wanted more. Started downloading the fantastic liveries on Overtake - these content creators are so talented. But, alas, I wanted more. This started me on my quest for a PC so I could hook up my racing rig (originally bought for Gran Turismo). Ended up diving head first into PC building and without having done one before I thought I was capable. And, I was! Went together without a hitch. Next up, grab AMS2 from my Steam library, hook up my wheel and off to the races! Was surprised actually how easy it was to get my wheel and pedals set up, seeing as I have a T-GTII. Everything, just, worked! Didn't have to change any settings, which really surprised me. Just put in my first race, 1hr day and night cycle round Daytona and the whole experience left me speechless! AMS2 is just jaw dropping. The visuals, the sound, the handling, the atmosphere. Just breathtaking. I even added on something I have wanted but couldn't get on Steam Deck and that is Crew Chief! What a great addition and Jim sure is a character . So, THANK YOU Reiza, thank you for giving me some much needed enjoyment. Simply cannot thank you enough. ❤️
I play AMS2 a lot on Steam Deck, it works really well. I've never installed any liveries though, did you do it in desktop mode with mouse and keyboard?
Yeah, was actually very easy doing the drag and drop method. I got loads off there. Going to have to do the same all over again on my PC..... Unless I can replace the folder in my PC with what I have on my Steam Deck ♂️ Who knows, but would save me a lot of time!
AMS2 is making all my sim racing dreams come true. All the promise and potential of pCARS2 come to life by Reiza.
