A nightmare when assigning buttons and axes on the steering wheel

The problem has existed for as long as I can remember.

Assigning the steering axis to the left - ok
Assigning the camera switch - ok (the left steering axis disappears).
Assigning the Pause button - the camera switch button disappears.
Assigning the steering axis to the left - it's fixed, but the camera assignment disappears.

Etc., etc.... all the time!

Besides, the mouse scroll works as if it doesn't know what to do in the menu!
Not to mention the fact that after disconnecting the steering wheel's USB cable (e.g. to connect to a PS4), the AMS2 100% forgets the key assignments and you have to experience this nightmare again!

Can't you figure out the keybindings?!

64 GB RAM
Latest AMS2 on Steam

 

That's really odd, and I've never had anything quite like that. I don't see how it's already got button 8 as steer left when steer left is on an axis. Over the years I've learned to leave the pause button alone, as I think it might be hard coded somewhere deep down, not sure if that could cause trouble.
If I was experiencing anything like that my first step would be deleting the AMS2 folder in My Documents and starting again from scratch.

 

I deleted the Automobilista2 folder in My Documents, and after reconfiguring, the same thing happens. I should add that I'm using the latest version of Logitech G HUB, and I don't have this problem with other games. AC, ACC, ACEvo, AC Rally, BeamNG, Dirt2, and others. Only with AMS2.

 

Try it without G-Hub? I've had issues with assigning buttons and using my drawing tablet when G-hub is active (Mouse). It's also caused me to get kicked out of games as it sometimes is flagged as "Cheat" software. In general, I try to avoid the Logitech-specific software and let the generic windows option handle things.
