Hello, I'm a Linux user and play AMS2 via Steam Play/Proton. The game runs flawlessly even with FFB on my G29 wheel, but I found that I can't hear the spotter and Engineer sounds (I can see the subtitles). I see in some videos around internet that the game plays this messages. My question is, what codec you use to play this sounds in game, because I know that some of this codecs don't work well with Wine/Proton. Are there some configuration that I miss it? A screenshot of my settings are attached. Of course, I know that you don't give Linux support to your game, but perhaps with this info I could fix it.
But then, aren't Spooter and Engineer voices included in Early Access yet? I read the Early Access note and don't see this issue.
Thanks a lot for this information. Is good to see that is not a Wine/Proton problem. Let's wait for this feature. Cheers!
Give Crew Chief a go. You'll never need another spotter / engineer. CC is truly peerless. Hands down best "add on app" for any race SIM. AM2 spotter still not working BTW. Mine is off anyway and using CC
I can' t make it work on Linux/proton. External apps give problems on my OS. Devs, don't forgive the spotter and the engineer voices, please
Sorry to insist again, but are there any plans by the developers to include Spotter in AMS2, or will it be officially delegated to Crewchief? It really is a function that I miss a lot. For me it's enough to show me the position of nearby cars, the lap or the flags on the track. I would appreciate very much an answer from Reiza.
