One of my favorite things about AMS2 is the focus on historical content. And with the recent Le Mans release (and hopefully some historical versions in the near future) it got me wondering about ABS systems on Group C and GT1 cars. It's surprisingly hard to find detailed info for these classes. I recently came across several articles about the Porsche 962 using a PDK sequential gearbox as early as 1984 (https://archive.is/885P3) and that led me to some articles that referenced ABS use (
Porsche 962 drive and video review: we get the key to Group C icon at Goodwood, Guide: Porsche 961 — Supercar Nostalgia). The only official regs I could find were for the 91' Group C season here: https://www.mulsannescorner.com/1991GroupCRegulations.pdf

I've also wondered the same thing about some of the GT1 cars. The Porsche for example actually has an ABS light on the dash in-game and there are some references to this system online (Porsche 911 GT1 ’98 (1998) – Specifications & Performance, Porsche 911 GT1-98 Screams and Whistles at Goodwood, Retrospective>>porsche 911 Gt1-98 - Speedhunters).

Both of these cars don't list ABS as an "authentic" system. Obviously one could always turn this assist on using the built in game assist, but I have to imagine both systems, especially on any Group C car, would be much more primitive than modern systems where engagement isn't really detrimental to braking performance..

It would be great if these systems could be added (if indeed they were actually used) to reflect the real world performance of the time. And if anyone has any additional info regarding this it would be great to see.
