Got some great advice last week and now have a custom ffb profile and it feels much better/ and madness tool I am still not sure if the wheel or the game settings take precedence for ffb effect levels and damping I have an old csL elite wheel (2012) with only sen ffb sho dri abs lin and dea-ACL NA FOR PC) i followed the sage advice and set the in game to...gain 40....lfb 70.... Fx 55... Dampening 0. Not sure what my wheel settings should be I think my csr is similar to the csl elite what setting should i start playing with first as id like more road feel and weight on wheel in corners? tia
Hi, Which custom ffb file did you go with? I don't have a fanatec but I believe you should put wheel driver dampening settings at 0. And use the custom/game damp slider. As far as weight, increase in game gain settings. There are also settings in the custom ffb file you can change for increased tire scrub, etc. But I don't know which file your using. NuScorpi or karstens.? My wheel..a logitec dfp... works well with karstens file that I quoted in my first post to you. He has newer versions, but it makes my wheel vibrate too much going down a straight. Maybe try the later ones. I don't know bout the madness tool, but you can try different ffb files by....quitting the game, then dl the newer file ...then extract the one you want and put in your docs folder like before and replace the older one.
Hi Lug, Im using the silver-raw-6.6.5.26 that was recommend to me. huge improvement Id like to add some weight to the wheel (is this damping ?)and wondering if changing the scrubbing entry might help but there is no scale to know what to change. Forgive me if these are pedestrian questions, I have a graduate degree in philosophy and can barely make a salad. Im so old my dad told me son: , Only your secretary will ever need a computer. About as helpful as the suggestion 64k will be enough memory for any one. thx cool ill try that now! the madness tool did not recognize my fanatec gear..is that working yet?
Hi, Don't know bout the madness tool. First try turning up the in game gain slider. If that's not enough you can open and edit the ffb file in notepad. The set of lines that is just after the bunch of entries called madness bug have values that you can change. I would start by leaviving dampning at 0. In game. I am no expert w these variables but at least in the .26 version there is some explanations to the right of the variables. After changing anything in the file save it...then launch game. If that doesn't work, try the .16 version. It seemed to work better for my setup than the latter ones. Good luck.
