I'm new into the game and would like to better understand how the the tyre temps work.

When running a Time Trial, I notice that before I get manual control, the temps are all at 80c, presumably due to tyre blankets. But when I get manual control, this immediately drops to around 72c on all tyres.

Running laps doesn't seem to bring these up to where I'd expect. Using the Ultima as a test car, I set Nordscheife to a summer day, sunny, 1pm, but while lapping, the tyres only range from around 69c low, up to 85c high, but would most often be around 75-78c. (I have tried other cars too, mainly GT style, all the same results)

I tried changing pressures, but this doesn't seem to do much, even at more extreme values.

I would have expected tyre temps to average more like 90-100c, or is this not correct in AMS? The pressures also don't seem to actually go up much from the cold temp in the car setup, which seems odd.

I also had a lot of trouble running a custom race at Oulton Park, in November - understand that the track temp may be cold of course, but nothing I changed would stop Crew Crief app from waning of low tyre temps and these falling below 60c regularly.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    EDIT
Have now run some more custom races, leaving the date at default, normal weather conditions and time of day, and I'm getting the same issue. Now in the Corvette C8.R, and in practice as an example, come out of the pits, tyres drop immediately to 74c, and then over the course of a couple of laps, they drop all the way to low 50c... really confused - upping tyre pressure seems to do nothing, even though the hot pressure is still below where I'd expect it.
Snetterton 200 - track temp 38c, air temp 29c for reference.
