Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but I thought I’d flag it. The AI on ovals coming out the pits seem to have an unfair advantage. I literally have to nurse my car around the apron back onto the track, any more than the gentlest of inputs resulting in a spin. The AI seem to accelerate away on the apron with pre-warmed tires and/or some magical downforce. For longer races with multiple pit stops this puts the player at a big disadvantage.
I agree, they also decelerate bizarrely fast from pit lane speed to their box. On the other hand they are really slow when going in, at least during a full course caution. The best example is Gateway, because of the shape of the track, they go in the apron line in the backstretch at a pace speed, were players can be much faster before the pit lane entry. There are other quirks I have reported in other threads, an issue notable in long races is that they are not affected by fuel weight the same way a player is. It is possible they are working on ovals for near on the future releases (due the speculation on Pocono/American Stock cars), so taking advantage of this moment, I guess it is a good moment for oval lovers to try to do quality reports to help Reiza. Perhaps the thread for AI reporting is a better place though (OP, I see you are new so I suggest you to dig in the forums to know them better, also you will surely find interesting stuff here ). However, due the particularities of oval racing perhaps a thread dedicated to it could be interesting. @Marius H @Marc Collins I take the liberty to ping you to let you evaluate this at some point if you think it could be helpful.
