In my case, alt-tab doesn't work all of the time. It exits always, but reentering the game doesn't work. It seems it only fails to bring back the image, though. I can still hear the sound effects of the cursor hitting the tabs in the menu, i can still click...So technically i'm back in the game, i guess, it's just the image that doesn't come up again. As if the windows/programs i work with while on the desktop somehow conflict with or disrupt the AMS process... I need to kill the process via task manager then. Can i do anything against this issue ? Thanks
Been testing it a bit more lately and, yes, it happens regularly. Especially if there are programs open on the desktop. The sound is there, but the image doesn't come back up. I wonder what the cause is for this...
Do you use any of those programs that has an overlay on the screen (MSI Afterburner) or even the ones that records the screen ?
I have Fraps running most of the time. I use MSI Afterburner for hardware monitoring/control. You think the Fraps might be the culprit here ?
You could try without any of these to see. I personally use MSI Afterburner and the Alt+Tab seems to work every time. But another problem has happened 2 times for me on league races, when the session changes the game crashes. After i started not using the Alt+tab when i know there`s a race, it never happened again.
For me is a common issue since GTR2 & rF, and now with AMS and rF2 (and with different machines), i solved by opening the game in Windowed or Borderless mode.
