After 30 hours of using it, I am slowly realizing the full value of this great simulator. The versatility of AMS2 is outstanding! It has features that users of other simulators can only dream about. And I really like the physics. Modability of AI properties and skins deserves big thanks. F1/CART fanatics of course like AMS2, but the fastest classes, at least with 100%, are a bit too much for me these days. No problem in AMS2, it has something for everyone. I've been driving simulators since Crammond's Grand Prix and Papyrus's Indy Car Racing. But talking about the modern simulators, AMS2 is my choice now.
After experiencing the dynamic way in which the cars in AMS2 move around naturally under variable grip conditions in response to driving inputs, it's very hard to go back to old sims with empirical tyre models where the cars are on rails before snapping loose in unexpected ways. With the new SCB and F-Ultimate Gen 2 this has been achieved without the "mushiness" that still affects some of the other cars (for me the Group A and PCup are the worst examples), so hopefully the sidewall stiffness changes will eventually percolate across other cars too.
Yeah. Its my to go Sim as well. AMS 1 & 2 made me so happy there's no other Sim. Their FFB and physics are topnotch. I know Reiza is in a healthy place, but if they ever go bankrupt I've no idea what to do anymore. I know there's AMS 1 & 2 to play, but I probably sell my rig and go Flysimming or so....
DITTO to 3 above + with the official V1.0 release taking place on June 30, 2020. Birthday bash, maybe a surprise! If she does not seek divorce proceedings against me for not finishing house, I hope to be around.
