Hello everyone Trying to solve this annoying problem. I can race for 20-40 min without issues but eventually it suddenly freezes and screen and goes blank. I can hear my car crashing and other cars driving by. Sometimes the frozen screen reappears but unable to control anything. I have to use ALT CTL DEL to get out and close the game to start over. Also each time i get a crash report. Any ideas? update: after deleting my savedgames folder and uninstalling Nvidea GeForce experience I was able to race without any issues for over 2hrs straight but then it failed again. After that it kept failing more frequently windows 10 up to date Nvidea latest driver Ams2 latest version HpReverbG2 up to date OpenXR up to date
Did you overclock your CPU ? Sometimes when on the edge with CPU vs Memory I have the same behavior.. detuning a bit help on stabilité.
No. I always disable afterburner when I start my PC. Not sure if I found a fix but I noticed my thrustmaster rudder pedals have been plugged in the entire time (months). Yesterday I unplugged them and configured Nvidea control panel 3D parameters to match the ones I found on a help site. I also changed VR to simultaneously display AMS2 on my monitor while in VR. I used to have it configured to where the screen minimizes when putting on headset and reappears when taking headset off. So hopefully one of those things were the culprit. I was able to race for approximately 2hrs without issues after doing all that. Keeping my fingers crossed
My game crash’s in vr lots too always has , I have reverb g2 with rev 1 cable so I’m not sure if it’s ams 2 or the reverb ,, I can’t race really as I can’t complete a full race without either the sound going or the black screen freeze ,, love the game but man it’s killing me for years ,, can anyone race for hours in vr without issues?
Today i used a different HDMI port on my GPU and instead of full screen i selected windowed. I was able to race many hours without any issues. Time will tell if it was a fix.
Have the G2 as well and don t have game crashes. I have 720p Windowed on screen and full res on the G2
Had this happen a few times in MP on my Rift S. I tried different USB ports, and so far seems to have stopped the black screen crash. Also, why are you using an HDMI port rather than a DP?
Try a different DP on your GPU and or don’t use full screen. Instead use Windowed. There’s something going on with the game wanting to minimize the screen and I think that might be the issue. Not going to celebrate quite yet but ever since I changed all of that I was able to play for hours without issues. Good luck
