AMS2 Gamepad support & TC Broken?

Although things seem to have improved with the recent hotfix 0.8.0.1, gamepad support and general controllability of the cars in AMS2 is still quite poor at the moment. The snap-oversteer with some of the cars on some of the tracks renders them uncontrollable unfortunately in the current state.
Playing with controller damping might help with this but at the expense of the needed responsiveness to take corners. All this to say, gamepad use on AC, ACC and Rf2 is quite good, but not AMS2 at the moment.
I am hoping that the current gamepad support is still WIP and that there will be much needed improvements further down the line.
Also noticed, when trying to dampen out the overteer, that TC is broken. One needs to set TC at 100% for it be the least impactful and set to 1% for max TC, which seems reversed to me.
