Um, just wanted to make this post 'cuz I think this might be a "me" problem that no one else has, or hopefully someone has ran into it and has found a solution..... Something's up with the in-car engine audio. With my regular desktop speakers, when inside the car, I can't hear my own engine anymore. It is drowned out by the tire noise, wind noise, the turbo if the car has one, and especially other cars. I can really only hear my own engine if I drive close to a wall. Very curiously, this does not happen when I use headphones. I primarily race in VR with built-in headphones so I really only started noticing this recently since I've been having VR issues - thank you Windows 11, ugh. But yeah in case this has not been flagged... what is up with this? Could this be related to some setting? To reiterate this is a new development in the last couple of updates. It's not been a problem with previous version, pc2, or any other program. I do use speakers that can be 5.1 surround, but I only use as a 2.1 setup. Is there a center channel that the speakers aren't receiving from the game anymore? I turned off headphone mix to see if it made a difference but no... It's also not all cars. The Porsche 962c is an example where it does happen. Has anyone seen this before???
